We had the good fortune of connecting with Monique Gomez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monique, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
My programs support the community by first healing our triggers, creating safe relationships, and healthy communication. When we can regulate our emotions and realize that our upset is doesn’t have to affect others. We can heal families and communities. My clients see this in their families and deep connections especially after boundary skills are practiced regularly. Boundaries are a major part of being a regulated human and creating safe environments for all. My clients get to truly know their needs and wants and practice expressing that to loved ones. Effective communication can prosper when we are in a calm body and mind. All my clients agree that their environments have become more emotionally attuned, encouraged boundaries for others and implemented effective communication.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart from other somatic trauma practitioners is the ability to help my clients process their past without being retraumatized. I do this using a few methods but mostly the timeline activity that creates skills from a growth event in our history. I am most excited to show clients, network partners and anyone open about this life-changing rewiring work. Getting to this place of true passion for this soul work took time. I had to grieve letting my License for Master Social Worker go, as I chose a Coaching path that was more aligned with my vision for holistic healthcare and wellness. I have created and continue to expand my network of health experts to support all clients who need referrals.
I want the world to know that life will always be hard, but you have skills in your history that have gotten you this far.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A few of my favorite spots in the city are The Global Ambassador in Scottsdale amazing food and drink, Tempe Marketplace an easy place to shop or see a movie, and lastly some hiking or paddleboarding depending on the weather. Hiking up Echo Canyon trail off Camelback Mountain for those who want a good quick intense hike. Paddle boarding or tubing down the Salt River is classic summertime fun.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many people who I’d love to thank: Michele Liggett and Elyse Alexander have been crucial business besties on this early journey of pivoting my business into trauma coaching. I am so grateful for the community that brought us together and how we support each other three years later.
