We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicholas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicholas, how do you think about risk?
Risk in my opinion is what makes life interesting, if something is easy to do it’s not as enjoyable or rewarding, a high risk adventure to take a stunning photo or make an amazing film is worth more than a safe easy trip to take a basic photo. The rush of a good risk, is very rewarding usually, because either you are successful, or you learn a valuable lesson.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Again, if it’s easy it’s not worth the time! The point is to grow, and I set myself on originally i thought an impossible journey to become a creator. I bought a camera I didn’t know how to use and went places I never knew. I taught myself how to use my cameras and how to push further for more insane and exciting things. From this I believe that’s how I grew a following, I was daring and skilled enough to go places few will go to make content that is unique!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The best places to go…. Abandoned buildings! Great places for a sensible adventure and great opportunities for amazing photos. Usually followed with some In and out burgers.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It all started when I started North Peak Adventures. That really got me out into the world and expanded my abilities and comfort levels. I had the confidence to take big risks and chase big rewards to do stunning and amazing things for content for the world to enjoy.
