We had the good fortune of connecting with Nick El-Tawil and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nick, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I didn’t set out to do it. But now that I’m doing it, I can see that it’s the best way for me to serve clients. I like having the freedom to do whatever it takes to win a deal. I don’t have to worry about what someone in the corporate office will think if I do this or that. And I can say whatever I want on social media!
What should our readers know about your business?
T&T is a modern real estate brokerage based on me and my personality. It’s a private company, which gives me the freedom to market properties (and myself) any way that I see fit. That’s key in the age of video and social media. People aren’t finding agents or properties on Zillow anymore – they’re finding them on Instagram, TikTok, X/Twitter, etc. I can also offer unique compensation structures that corporate brokerages might not approve.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
DeFalco’s Italian Deli in Scottsdale is my go-to. It was also my great grandfather’s favorite deli, going back 50 years!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family has definitely supported me the most. But also everyone I’ve met in Arizona real estate thus far has been great. Everyone at Cook & Associates, The Agency, WFG Title, my buddy Casey Cutter with Homeowners Financial Group, the many agents I’ve interacted with – all have played their part in helping me get going!
