We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicole Vieau and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nicole, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
The definition of success technically is the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.. Going just off of that definition I believe we all, at some point, have been successful or had success.

I think if you asked me this question a few years ago I would have said you are successful if you have six figures or more in your bank account and you own a home. As I’ve grown and really started to discover who I am and what truly brings me joy everyday, it’s not all about what’s in my bank account, it’s about what I am doing every day that’s filling my cup.

If you wake up every day and get to do a job or a career that you are actually passionate about I think that makes you successful. I think if you struggle with mental health and are able to push through a regular day when you’re not feeling your self, you are successful. I think stay at home moms or dads, if they love being a stay at home parent, are successful
I don’t think that there’s one way to define success and I think I define it so many different ways because success looks different to everybody.

Success is a mindset if you feel successful then you are successful.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My photography business is just getting started. I have loved taking photos since I was a little girl whether I was in front of the lens or behind, I have always loved it.

I think right now what I am most proud of is just the fact that I’ve started. I have dreamed about being a photographer for nearly eight years but never had enough push in me to do it.

Getting here, and I’m just starting, wasn’t easy. It took a lot to finally convince myself that I can go after the things I want in life just like anybody else. I have been a stay at home parent for a long time and have always defined myself with that.. until this year when I finally decided that I am a mom but that’s not all I am.

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that everybody comes from somewhere. I appreciate that we all have different walks of life; I am just here to hopefully capture some of the beautiful moments as they pass by.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
One of the many things I love about phoenix is that there are so many amazing places to check out here. From hiking to eating and entertainment we have it all. I would start the day out by grabbing breakfast at The Oink Cafe in northern Phoenix. Followed by hiking at the McDowell Mountain Regional Park where you’ll find, in my opinion, some of the best hiking in Scottsdale. Later in the day we’d head over to the Scottsdale Quarter and grab dinner at the Culinary Dropout then take a walk through the quad.

The Hole in the Rock in Phoenix is a must see as well as The Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona. Old Tombstone Western Theme Park is fun and great for kids plus the drive from Tombstone to downtown Bisbee is one I think everybody should experience at least once in their life.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, my Lord and Savior who will always be at the front and center of all my success. Second, would be my husband Blake. He has always supported me and encouraged me to do whatever makes me happy and he is always willing to step in and do whatever he can to help me get there. My children, have been a huge driving force to get out of my comfort zone and start showing up for myself. I want to be the type of mom who shows her children that they can do whatever they want if they just believe in themselves. Last, I would like to thank my friends and family. Without their support I would not have started this journey and so I am forever grateful to them all.
