We had the good fortune of connecting with Noemi Gutierrez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Noemi, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I have never been one to take big risks. I prefer to have a clear picture of what lies ahead and what to expect. However,I have come to realize that taking risks is sometimes necessary, especially when your life reaches a crossroads and you must choose the path that will bring you the most fulfillment. From a young age, I discovered my passion for decorating, whether it was creating beautiful spaces in homes or planning memorable events. However, my dreams were placed on hold when I became a mother at a very young age. At 16 and 17 years old, I welcomed my children into the world, and my focus shifted entirely to being a devoted stay-at-home mom. I was determined to be present in their lives and be actively involved. I started working at the age of 26. I worked various jobs that left me unfulfilled. When I found myself feeling trapped and stagnant, with the support of my husband, I decided to take a major leap of faith, and that’s when my business came to life. Despite my limited experience but fueled by passion, I made the bold decision to quit my job and start my journey of turning my passion into a successful business doing something I’ve always loved.

My Style Decor was born from taking a risk.. and although it’s been challenging, I am excited for what lies ahead and the opportunities that await me as I pursue my dreams.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
What sets me apart is my distinct style and the way I bring diverse themes and unique ideas into my work.

I’m most proud of the growth and evolution of my artistic skills. It’s been a rewarding journey to see my art resonate with others. Getting here professionally wasn’t easy. I face self-doubt, creative blocks, and the challenges of establishing myself in this stressful field.

To overcome these obstacles, I surround myself with supportive colleagues and mentors who provided feedback and encouragement. I try to embraced failure as a stepping stone to success. Patience, persistence, and adaptability are crucial along the way.

The lessons I’ve learned are stepping outside my comfort zone, and constantly learning and improving. It’s important to strive for progress rather than perfection, and to be open to new ideas and techniques.

In terms of my brand and story, I want the world to know that my art is a reflection of my passion.
My main goal is to truly impress my clients and evoke powerful emotions through my artwork, transforming their special occasions into extraordinary and unforgettable moments that will be cherished forever.

In conclusion, I am Noemí Gutierrez, a mother, a dreamer, and an event decorator. I am on a journey to turn my passion into a successful business. Through hard work, perseverance, and the love of my family, I hope to inspire others to chase their dreams and make them a reality

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Sedona is definitely my reset getaway place to go to in AZ. The perfect day I would say would be by starting the day by exploring Cathedral Rock. Going for a hike to the base and enjoy the stunning scenery!

Next, check out the Chapel of the Holy Cross. It’s a unique architectural gem nestled among the red rocks. Take a moment to appreciate the serenity and the amazing views from the chapel.

For lunch, head into downtown Sedona and try some local food.

In the afternoon, visit TLAQUEPAQUE art & shopping village.

As evening approaches, check back in to Sky Ranch Lodge to relax and prepare for the highlight of the day—the sunset in a cozy spot with a view or in a seat on the outdoor patio. Witness the sky come alive with vibrant colors as the sun sets behind the red rocks. It’s a magical experience you won’t forget.

After enjoying the sunset, ending the night by venturing off into town for some delicious dinner at one of the nearby spots.!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to recognize My husband and children are my greatest motivations. They provide me support, especially during times when I feel defeated. Their belief in me fuels my determination to keep going, no matter the obstacles I face. My ultimate goal is to make them as proud of me as I am of them. My family and friends for supporting my business by hiring me, liking and sharing my work and your kind words of encouragement.
