We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia Petralba and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patricia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The vision of Thrive Life Center had been brewing for years. I had envisioned a wellness practice where we get to help people heal fully that is always root cause informed. Using best of both eastern and western medicine.

After practicing in a big medical clinic and working with insurance, I have realized that when its insurance based it also means it is time deficient. It will not have enough time to really get to the root cause when there is no time spent for the patient to unpack what is.

Being a new mom gave be the extra push to finally set it up, I wanted how my intentional mothering reflect in my practice of medicine and healing arts. I had dream of a place where people felt safe, welcomed and actually enjoy seeing the doctor.

What should our readers know about your business?
I am the founder of Thrive Life Center. A wellness center and global coaching program designed to help women thrive in all areas in their life.

We help people get out of survival mode and start thriving in a sustainable and enjoyable way.

It was not easy since being a medical doctor didn’t equip me with business skills.

I am excited about how transformational and empowered the women feel after being in our world. They have a framework to thrive that is sustainable and lifelong map to live with purpose and pleasure. I am also excited about launching my global coaching offering to have more impact.

We are set apart from others is that a lot of holistic doctors and coaches approach it through mindset and body mechanics such as hormone, nutrition and movement which we all do, but we also put heavy emphasis on soul mission and purpose. Most physical and mental manifestation is usually tied to when purpose is not in alignment with their purpose. When the approach is just nutrition or movement or any other “natural” means to heal but you are not living your dream, the burnout and the frustration, the stress will still arise. So the approach really targets all parts of you.

My background also sets me apart that I grew up with these eastern medicine influences such as indigenous medicine, herbology then trained in the US for modern medicine. So my understanding of how to blend this is not just in academic training but my whole life experience.

It’s unique that I also am now a business owner and since most of my clients are executives and business owners, we dont just talk about health but also how to be holistic approaching their business. I have not advertised this part of me but my clients keep asking me advise on how I run my business since they love the experience.

Challenges are still present, I handle them by hiring mentors who is ahead of me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Tucson, and my best friend did just visit me!

I took her to the Gem show and bought crystal infused water containers. It helps energize your water.

We also went to Catalina State park and enjoyed dipping our toes in cool water in the wash, a real treat in the desert to have water. On of the best sunset spot is at Signal Hill in Saguaro National park. At night, since Tucson has one of the best dark sky, we just hang outside and do some stargazing.

I usually take my friends to wholesome food restaurants that are vegetarian such as Tumerico and enjoy organic coffee at Savaya coffee.

I would love to welcome them in Amtrak train station. I love traveling by train and Tucson’s train station is beautiful.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
In every step of the way, I had mentors and love around me. My father for inspiring me to think out of the box and challenge the status quo, my daughter who ignited my courage to care for people in a way that we all deserve to be cared for. My son, who has reminded me that when we enjoy things we do, we manifest faster.

Abraham through Ester Hicks for always finding a way to soothe my spirit and be in alignment of my purpose and mission as a healer.

Lisa Schlar MD, for sitting me down and encouraging me to continue with conventional medicine as a way to help the underserved.

Dr. Andrew Weil, the father of integrative medicine, for being so accessible and his devotion to furthering integrative medicine in the world.

Kelly Roach, one of my first business mentors who was able to help me set up my brick and mortar business and now my online business in a fluid and enjoyable way.

Dr. Joe Dispenza, for being so gifted in bridging the mystical side and logical side of healing.

Dona Tumacder-Esteban for introducing me to the world of Angeles Arrien, author of the four fold way.

My husband Jay, who has unwavering faith in my capacity.
