We had the good fortune of connecting with Peyday Peyton and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Peyday, why did you pursue a creative career?
Wow , what a question . At the end of the day making people happy while motivating and inspiring them has always been my biggest passion . Growing up I was inspired by my mother , by her hard work and resilience . By the fact that she was a single mother and still took care of me and ( to be honest ) the rest of the family . Growing up I wanted to be there for my family and friends the same exact way . As I grew older and began to mature I started to incorporate how I was raised into my music and my artistry . Any way that I can show appreciation to how I was raised I tend to take advantage of it and as I continue on this creative journey I hope to strengthen this gift and share it with others .
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Growing up I’ve always been good at ( just about ) everything that I did . Whether it was sports , art communication I was always trying to be apart of it . With that being said people might look at that as the greatest thing ever , but when you have a wide variety of things that you’re good at it makes it very difficult to hone in and master your craft . From basketball , to rapping to singing to modeling to acting I have finally come to a point where I can incorporate all of these talents into one . I thought to myself if I’m gonna do this I want to be able to do it all , so that when my opportunity comes no one can say I can’t do something .
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow coming to Seattle is a VIBE ! I Love it here first we would definitely hit Pike Place because even though it’s a trendy touristy thing to do , it’s full of good food and fun people who are all smiles and happiness . That would be an all day event but for the evening we could go to The Nest an amazing rooftop bar with a view of the city , great food and drinks . night life we could go to the one of my favorite places ( on the weekend ) called Thomas Street Warehouse . Cheep drinks , fun vibe and amazing people ! They also play my music there as well so we could jam to the new released singles . During the week we could visit the amazing museums , we would go to the beach and probably go out on the water since the summer is right around the corner . Most importantly we would be in the studio recording a hit ! Also we could catch a Mariners game now that they’re back in action . Whatever you want to do , we can do it in Seattle Washington !
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wanna give a shout out to each individual that has been with me during this amazing story . I am currently writing a book about my life and people who have ( significantly ) been involved in it will be portrayed with stories on how they impacted me through this journey . I want you to know that I Love you and that I appreciate you for your involvement and I can’t wait to share all the blessings with you here soon . We’re almost there 🙏🏾
