We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachel D’acquisto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rachel, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
My drive for my business is born out of what brings me joy. Being part of great times and making memories, makes me happy. When folks gather, enjoy each other’s company, conversation and share a Ray Ray’s. Next time they have a Ray Ray’s, they’ll be reminded of fond memories!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a restaurant bar consultant and hospitality professional. I thrive in team settings, I am committed to service and I’m proud to have built my career through, on-the-job-experience. When I created Ray Ray’s I drew inspiration from the things I love most about the industry and bottled it! Obstacles can be overcome, challenges do have solutions, especially when you let people support you.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First we are going to rent bikes and ride to Urban Fresh for a healthy snack before we ride to the MSA Annex for sunset yoga, a delicious cocktail at Westbound and bite at Rollie’s. Next we will stop by Casa Madre for dessert and since it will be late catch the free street car, (with our bikes), to Surly Wench Pub for a refreshing Ray Ray’s and karaoke.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t have a company, brewing, packaging and distributing quality, craft beverages without my mentor, Steve Tracy. Additionally, Start Up Tucson was an integral part of my business journey. They offered so many connections, tools and resources for various stages of my business. My favorite piece of advice was from my mentor Kenisha Raymond, to work on my business everyday, no matter how much or how little. That gave me the space to keep momentum and continue to work toward my goals, without getting too overwhelmed.
