We had the good fortune of connecting with Rauno “Keefirivunts” Oidram and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rauno “Keefirivunts”, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Success, to me, is like a rebellious rockstar with a heart of gold. It’s not just about swimming in piles of money and sipping champagne on a yacht (although, hey, that does sound pretty enticing!). No, my definition of success goes beyond mere financial riches.
For me, success is all about freedom. It’s the freedom to do what I absolutely love, to pursue my passions with wild abandon. Money is just a means to an end, not the end itself. Sure, it can buy you things, but it can’t buy you time or happiness.
You see, I’ve always known that the traditional 9-to-5 grind wasn’t for me. I wanted more than a monotonous routine. I wanted a life filled with adventure, creativity, and quality time with my loved ones. So, I took the bold leap into the world of tattoos, where I honed my skills as an artist for over a decade. But hey, life is all about evolution, right?
From wielding the tattoo machine, I transitioned into the captivating realm of jewelry. But this wasn’t just any ordinary jewelry business; no, sir! I started as a blacksmith, hammering away at glowing metals, shaping them into beautiful, wearable pieces of art. My journey took me through a whirlwind of diverse talents, from stone carving to graphic design, painting to drawing, website building to entrepreneurship.
Nowadays, I spend my time crafting exquisite gold engagement rings and crafting sterling silver jewelry for the fierce and fabulous biker rock ‘n’ roll scene. It’s like I’ve found the perfect harmony between my wild spirit and my creative flair. Each piece I create tells a unique story, capturing the essence of the people who wear them. It’s a symphony of rebellion, style, and self-expression.
But you know what the best part is? It’s the freedom that success brings. It’s the ability to set my own schedule, to prioritize quality moments with my family, and to dedicate myself to the things that truly ignite my soul. It’s not just about making a living; it’s about living a life that’s worth celebrating.
So, when you ask me how I define success, I’ll raise my hammer and proudly say, “Success is about forging your own path, dancing to the beat of your own drum, and finding joy in every twist and turn along the way. It’s about embracing your passions, creating something extraordinary, and having the freedom to live life on your own terms.”
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve always had this burning desire to stand out from the crowd, to be unique in my own way while maintaining a high level of professionalism. When it comes to my jewelry, I strive for classic elegance with a twist, adding my personal touch to every piece.
But you know what truly makes my heart sing? Creating engagement rings. There’s something truly magical about witnessing two people madly in love, ready to embark on a lifelong journey together. When I receive heartfelt messages months later from these couples, expressing their gratitude and love for the rings I’ve crafted, it’s an indescribable honor. Being a part of such a beautiful moment in their lives and bringing joy to their hearts is what fills me with immeasurable pride and excitement.
What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that I, as an individual artist, bring a unique blend of classic elegance and personal flair to every piece of jewelry I create. Through my journey, I have immersed myself in various crafts such as blacksmithing, pottery, tattooing, arts etc. I have also embraced a nomadic lifestyle, living in nature and exploring the freedom of van life.
What sets me apart is the diverse range of skills and experiences I have gathered along the way. Every jewelry piece I create carries a small piece of these learnings, making it truly one-of-a-kind. I never received formal training or education in jewelry making. Instead, driven by my passion for the craft, I dedicated myself to self-learning, constantly pushing the boundaries of my knowledge and skills.
So, when you choose my brand, you’re not just acquiring a piece of jewelry; you’re getting a unique creation infused with my unwavering dedication, the beauty of nature, the spirit of adventure, and the continuous pursuit of mastering my craft.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I would want to show them the true beauty of Estonia, which lies in its untouched nature. Given a week-long trip, I would prioritize exploring the wild side of Estonia rather than the city.
Day 1: Arrival in Tallinn
Welcome my friend to Tallinn and introduce them to the charming cobblestone streets of Tallinn Old Town.
Enjoy a traditional Estonian dinner at a local restaurant, savoring dishes like mulgipuder (potato and barley mash) and kiluvõileib (sprat sandwich).
Day 2-3: Lahemaa National Park
Embark on a road trip to Lahemaa National Park, known for its stunning coastal landscapes, pristine forests, and picturesque villages.
Hike along the trails, breathe in the fresh air, and immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the park.
Visit the Viru Bog, where we can walk on the boardwalks amidst the unique wetland scenery.
Spend the night in a cozy guesthouse or a traditional Estonian farmhouse, experiencing the rustic charm of the countryside.
Day 4-5: Saaremaa Island
Take a ferry to Saaremaa Island, known for its unspoiled beauty and relaxed island vibes.
Explore the medieval castle of Kuressaare, wandering through its ancient halls and enjoying panoramic views from the tower.
Visit the Kaali Meteorite Crater Field, a fascinating natural wonder formed thousands of years ago.
Indulge in local delicacies such as smoked fish and traditional black bread at charming seaside cafes.
Relax on the island’s pristine beaches, taking in the soothing sounds of the Baltic Sea.
Day 6-7: Pärnu and Soomaa National Park
Head south to the coastal town of Pärnu, known for its beautiful sandy beaches and vibrant summer atmosphere.
Enjoy a leisurely day by the beach, basking in the sun and dipping our toes in the refreshing waters.
Venture inland to Soomaa National Park, a magical wetland area known as the “Land of Bogs.”
Take a guided canoe trip through the tranquil rivers and explore the fascinating floodplain forests.
Experience the thrill of bog walking, where we can discover unique flora and enjoy the serenity of this enchanting landscape.
Throughout the trip, we’ll dine at local eateries, sampling traditional Estonian cuisine made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. We’ll also have the opportunity to connect with the warm and friendly locals, who are sure to enhance our experience with their stories and hospitality.
So, rather than sticking to the city, I would show my best friend the hidden gems of Estonia’s nature, allowing them to experience the true essence of this beautiful country.
