We had the good fortune of connecting with Rene Apack and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rene, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Complete independence was the reason for being in my business. I know that I am relentless in reaching my goal; therefore, I am disciplined to do whatever it takes to get there. Meanwhile, I have been blessed with creative (not artistic) ways of thinking about accomplishing a better result. Next, I must have access to a product that serves the good of the customer/client. Once I identify that now comes the most crucial part: I have to be the master in knowledge of everything about what I am presenting. My success has been having a caring heart in serving people and doing the right thing for my client, even if it means not making a sale and when a complaint/return comes up, welcoming it no different than a sales opportunity.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I named my company Insure Your Future so that I can help everyone’s future needs. Once we are out of school, we enter the world of work…so Disability Income Insurance is the very foundation of our everyday security. If an accident or an illness prevents us from working, our income should not stop. Later in life, we find people that we love like a spouse, and soon the children show up…well, what if we die unexpectedly? How would our loved ones get by? So there Life insurance is needed if we want them to maintain their lifestyle. As we get older, our body goes thru changes…now we may need someone to care for us in our home, or sometimes we need to be in a facility…so since the only way to pay caregivers is by our savings and investments…we must have short term and long term care insurance. Unfortunately… strokes, cancers, and heart attacks do not send us a postcard announcing their arrival. Knowing with the certainty of more than one in two people will be requiring care, why not secure the most vulnerable part of our future? Once age 65 creeps up, we get lots of mail like a celebrity because of Medicare. So many choices, so much information is very confusing. Medicare Insurance will provide you the safety of your future health care needs. I am a National Insurance broker who can help anyone in 32 states with these protection lines so that we can live a Worry-Free Life!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Wow! Great question so I can get ready 🙂 Since I live in Scottsdale lots of amazing restaurants are around and we can get to them as we go downtown Old Town Scottsdale. Next, let’s get out there and explore Lake Saguaro by horseback riding one day another day rent a kayak and travel Salt River for the most amazing views of wild horses and birds. Since we are West then let’s go to Apache Junction and visit Mammouth Steak House, see my friend cowboy dan, and have an amazing steak. Next, we could go overnight camp at Lake while we kayak all around and cook an amazing meal on the fire while coyotes go hauling away and feel and experience the beauty of our area. Our next destination will be a combination visit Jerome and the Clarkdale train ride. We must visit various wineries as we make ourselves up to Sedona. I can go one about Prescott, Pine, and Strawberry and finally If we have time we should go to visit the Havasupai Nation and stay overnight and hike around and plunge into the waterfalls. We can not forget about going south to beautiful Tucson and visit Mount Lemon and Sabino Canyon to get more amazing views and stop by Tombstone and Bisby. I just tired writing all this from exhilaration
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The first thanks go to DR. Dennis Waitley with the CDs (yes from the 1980s) of The Psychology of Winning, which I am sure you could get today. That training was playing in my brain constantly when I was doing mundane things like driving. As for thanks for my current 24-year career, first, Thanks! It goes to Bud Domagata for highering me and introducing me to Long Term care insurance with GE Financial… Next Thanks! It goes to my friend Robert Ash, the only independent business person with my outlook, for encouraging me to stay the course. Big thanks go to our Supreme leader Jim Lambdin to give much-needed talks about communicating clearly about the growing problem of home care and long-term care. Since 2003 I became an independent broker worked with people in their homes. I am grateful to the internet that brought me clients from 32 states. Finally, my deepest thanks go to my late wife, Natalie Gale. I am thankful for her endless trust in me as I embarked on this new profession. We had a 2-year-old at home, so she worked at her retail store and took care of our son. She allowed me to do what it took to be a success. Within three years, I arrived at the highest accomplishment. Later she confided in me that she was worried inside but knew that there would be a bright light at the tunnel’s end. Well, Thank you, Natalie Gale! Personal note: Who knew that ten years later, at age 53, Natalie was diagnosed with dementia and later with Alzheimer’s. She stayed at home with exceptional caregivers across five years, and after she had to move to a memory care facility, lived for six months, and passed away at age 59. GE Financial now Genworth Financial paid $475,000 for her care. I wonder… If God sent me into this career so that Natalie and another 141 clients could also use their policy? I say the enormous Thank you goes to GOD!
