Hi Renee, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was a decision deeply rooted in my passion for supporting animals and promoting their well-being. I’ve always felt a strong connection to animals and have been driven by a desire to make a positive impact on their lives. This intrinsic motivation served as the foundation for my entrepreneurial journey, guiding every decision and action along the way.

Another key aspect of my thought process was the importance of being resourceful. I recognized the need to leverage my skills, knowledge, and available resources to bring my vision to life. Starting a business often requires creativity and adaptability, especially in the initial stages when resources may be limited. I embraced the challenge of finding innovative solutions and maximizing the resources at my disposal to build a sustainable and successful venture. This mindset of resourcefulness has been instrumental in overcoming obstacles and fueling the growth of my business.

Additionally, I was drawn to the idea of incorporating organic skincare into my business model. As awareness of the importance of natural and sustainable products continues to grow, I saw an opportunity to cater to this demand while staying true to my values. By prioritizing organic ingredients and eco-friendly practices, I aimed to not only deliver high-quality products but also to contribute to environmental conservation efforts. This commitment to sustainability not only resonates with consumers but also aligns with my personal beliefs, making it a cornerstone of my business philosophy.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My journey in restarting my business after losing everything to the 2020 LNU wildfires has been both challenging and empowering. Despite the adversity, I’ve emerged with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. What sets my business apart is not only its resilience but also the passion and dedication I bring to every aspect.

I’m most proud of the resilience and perseverance that allowed me to rebuild from scratch. It was far from easy, but I embraced each challenge as an opportunity for growth. Overcoming the obstacles required a combination of strategic planning, adaptability, and unwavering belief in my vision.

Throughout this journey, I’ve learned invaluable lessons about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of community support. These experiences have shaped not only my business but also my character, instilling in me a deeper appreciation for every success, no matter how small.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s not just about products or services; it’s a testament to the human spirit’s capacity to overcome adversity and thrive against all odds. My story is one of resilience, hope, and the unwavering belief that setbacks are merely stepping stones toward success!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For a week-long trip in the area, I’d ensure my friend experiences the best local highlights!

Day 1-2:
– Start with a scenic drive to Winters, California, and have dinner at the cozy Green River Bar.
– The next day, indulge in some delicious BBQ at Buckhorn Grill, known for its savory flavors and welcoming ambiance.

Day 3-4:
– Head to Davis, California, and spend the day exploring the beautiful Davis Arboretum, perfect for a leisurely walk amidst nature’s splendor.
– For dinner, venture into Davis’ vibrant food scene and try out some local favorites.

Day 5-7:
– Spend the next couple of days exploring nearby attractions such as hiking trails, local farmers’ markets, or perhaps a day trip to nearby wineries or cultural landmarks.
– End the trip with a relaxing evening, perhaps with a sunset picnic at a scenic spot, reminiscing about the unforgettable experiences shared throughout the week.

These destinations offer a perfect blend of delicious dining, outdoor adventures, and cultural experiences, ensuring a memorable trip for my friend!
