Meet Rogue | Comedy Mystifier

We had the good fortune of connecting with Rogue and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rogue, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
I do! Born to Perform & Inspire Until You Expire! These 2 quotes mean the world to me & are my lifelong mottos! When I’m performing I feel incredible like nothing else in the world matters & I continually want to inspire people until my last breath!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Magic has been a part of my life for over 40 years. I’ve been excited to learn & perform all my life! I feel what sets me apart from others in my field is that I’m 100% passionate about my craft & this passion hasn’t wavered at all like it has for some of my peers. I’ve never gotten bored or tired of it. I can’t imagine myself doing any other career! I’ve definitely paid my dues through the decades! I performed at so many open mics & volunteer shows just to build up my confidence & work on new routines! I opened up a Magic Shop which was also a school & theatre which I ran for 18 years & I mentored & taught thousands of people! There were tons of roadblocks but I slowly but surely overcame all of them & now I’m 1000% ready for any performance venue!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely bring them to one of the top shows on Broadway which is always amazing. Wicked, Back to the Future, Aladdin, Lion King & MJ the Musical would all be great options! We would also check out Speakeasy Magic which is an incredible Magic Show featuring 5-6 pro Magicians every night! Madame Tussaud’s on 42nd St is a great place to visit! I would bring them to Longhorn Steakhouse, Cheesecake Factory, Olive Garden, Rakuzen, QTown, & Red Lobster to eat! We would grab drinks & chill at Tropix! We would hang out around Hudson Yards & take lots of pics at The Edge! I would bring them to Atlantic City for some gambling, more drinks, food & shopping at the outlets! I would take them to the Comedy Cellar for late night laughs, drinks & more food! Then head over to Shout for a night of karaoke & alcohol! Then we’ll have early morning dim sum at Ocean Bay Restaurant! Definitely gota bring them to Martha’s Bakery for some sweets!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
David Copperfield would be the number one inspiration for me. I watched him make the Statue of Liberty disappear when I was about 6 years old & that’s what sparked my interest in this art & I haven’t looked back once! I’ve been learning, performing & honing my craft ever since that day!
