We had the good fortune of connecting with Rose Reyes and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rose, what are you inspired by?
I draw most of my inspiration out of what “feels good” or what it is that piques my interest at that said moment/season. My friends/crew (Sour Patch Crew and Soulshifters) are all individually talented in their respective mediums and never fail to inspire me to stay creatively prolific.


Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Various projects like designing a cocktail menu for the new southeast Asian-inspired bar called “KHLA”. Designing a new logo for “Toduken” a local Filipino-inspired BBQ shack at Pemberton. Graphic design work for a music label based out in NYC called Ocha Records. Custom flyers, brand work, promo work for an established weekly Livestream called the “Simmer Room” for Catch The Ghost Records based out in Fremont CA. It’s safe to say that all the new creative opportunities that are coming my way keep me busy and I love it.


Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love this question! The itinerary would be heavily in Downtown Phoenix. I would include Motown Mondays at Stardust, Hi-Score for an R&B night, Khla – a Southeast Asian Bar that just opened, Little Rituals cocktails & small bites (Hurricane Fries are where it’s at), Pemberton for a wide variety of food, So Far So Good to watch a game or a drink, Valley Bar for some dancing, Solstice Saturdays for some good ol’ house music on the rooftop, Crescent Ballroom for some Live Music…. And the list would go on.


Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My fellow crewmate/sister, Ami “Tsunami” Nixon-Ferreira, of Circle of Fire/Soulshifters/Sour Patch/Terra Tusk Crew. This woman single-handedly afforded me a safe space to explore my creativity and empowered me to dive into the creative world. She’s an inspiration to me and so many other young women. I am so grateful to have her in my corner and I’m happy to have her in my life! A living LEGEND.
