Meet Ruby Red: Content Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruby Red and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ruby, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I knew that I didn’t want to work a 9-5 or for someone else eventually. It takes more work to do your own thing and start your own business, but that pay off is so much better in the end.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Being a content creator took a few years to grow. It didn’t happen over night. I started out with a small following, but with consistent posting and non-stop, daily effort, I’ve managed to grow my following and brand collaborations to being a full time job. From reaching out to brands to now building longer term relationships with successful brands, all of the hard work I put in as a side job really paid off. The biggest thing to keep in mind is to never give up. I get rejected by brands all of the time, but it’s never stopped me from pushing forward with other avenues of brands.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting, I’d have her stay at Sanctuary on Camelback because every room has the most amazing views of the backside of Camelback Mountain and is so close to the best hiking trails. For food, we would have to go brunch at Hash Kitchen, then snack by the pool. For dinner, I’d take her to Maple & Ash for the Seafood Tower or to Ocean 44 for the Seabass. For drinks, we’d stop at Toca Madera or Under Tow followed by hookah at Oasis in Old Town Scottsdale. Aside from food and drinks, we would check out hiking on Camelback mountain, visit Joya Spa at Omni Montelucia, and go to a Spring Training game!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
