We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Ciriello BSN, RN and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, what inspires you?
The desire to make an impact on people’s lives is my true inspiration. As a nurse injector, my philosophy is to provide subtle enhancements, without compromising your natural beauty. The driving force behind that is my personal mission – to destigmatize the aesthetic industry. To further disrupt conversations that use words like “vanity”, when discussing this line of work. Physical appearance is just one aspect of a person’s well-being, and in my book, aesthetic medicine is not perceived in the light it continuously proves it deserves.

My inspiration revolves around a holistic approach to aesthetics, focusing on patient well-being, empowerment, and education. All aimed at pushing beyond surface-level changes, leaving a positive impact on patients’ self-esteem, confidence, and overall quality of life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I often hear peers or colleauges of mine describe the aesthetics industry, specifically within Scottsdale, is an “oversaturated” one. Now some may see that as a disadvantage for business, and while it may be, I see it as an opportunity.

I view this saturated and evolving industry as an opportunity for ALL aesthetic providers. An opportunity for those on many different walks of life, with different approaches, that offer different services, beliefs or philosophies, to leverage their individuality to attract their dream clientele.

I share this professional space with many talented, deserving, and like-minded injectors, but I see our differences as a way to stand out to the right clientele – the dream clientele.

In a city full of many, I’m an injector who believes injectables should be undetectable – never compromising your natural beauty. I’m an injector who will tell you no, if I believe treatment is unnecessary, not showing appropriate candidacy, or simply if it doesn’t align with my ethics and values. I’m an injector who understands I’m a nurse first, and salesman second, meaning I refuse to push treatment on my client, that I wouldn’t do on myself, my mom, or my best friends.

It is my intention to check all of the boxes for each individual searching for their ideal injector, however, I believe that instead of conforming to ideas others in the space may be doing, I’ll continue to march to the beat of my own drum, knowing my clients choose to enjoy that unique tune.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Now this is a task I’m up for. Aside from the typical love languages, I’m firm on the belief that sharing experiences and food with loved ones is true love language of mine. If I were to plan the ideal day for my girlfriends and I, I’d begin with a pampering at my favorite spa, Joya, at the Omni Montelucia Resort. Inspired by Moroccan deserts and Southern Spain, the ambiance of this facility gives me the same feels I experience when traveling, which is when I feel my most inspired. I’d make our way down Scottsdale Rd, to the Fairmont Princess Resort, to soak up the sun at their white sand beach (I know, you must be wondering why from one resort to another, but those who know me know this, I’m going to do things in true Samantha fashion, no matter the journey). As an Arizona gal born and raised, this pool brings the feeling of the beach, to the desert I call home. Poolside with refreshing cocktails are a match made in heaven in my books! As we approach the rest of our day, I’d meet my most difficult decision, choosing where to enjoy dinner. My top three choices come down to Ocean 44, Fat Ox, or Tutti Santi – home of the ravioli that melts in your mouth.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My story wouldn’t have been written without the help of two badass women, my mentor and my mom.

Skyler Soares, aka @aznurseinjector, gave me my first taste of sweetness, that is the world of aesthetics. As a student in nursing school, I sought out treatment and stumbled across Skyler’s business. After little to no convincing based on her knowledge and results, I booked an appointment and by briefly entering her world, I never wanted to leave. Skyler provided me with a core foundation of knowledge, never fails to offer her support, and continues to be my sounding board, which is hard to come by in a career as fast-paced and wide as ours. Without her, I may have ended up somewhere sufficient, but it is her core values and encouragement, that brought me to where I am today.

Words can hardly express the depth of gratitude I feel for my mom, Jenn, as a major player in the jumpstart of my career. Her unwavering belief, endless support, and boundless love have been the driving forces behind my success. Her support has extended beyond my time throughout nursing school; it has been a cornerstone of my entire journey in the aesthetic industry. This woman has shown me what it means to be a hard worker, to chase after each one of my dreams, and to never accept no for an answer while doing it. From the days of taking care of me in diapers, all the way to nursing school, I will take care of your beautiful face, until the end of time.
