We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Myrrh and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
The most important value I live by is attunement. Attunement is a step up from empathy. Empathy is seeing into a person and getting an understanding of what it is like to be them. Attunement is similar to a connectedness where you see and feel the world through someone else. It is more of shared experience and leaves little room judgement. I find this to be beneficial and plays an important role in my life because it leave little room for resentment. You find belonging and build a deep appreciation for people and their unique interpretation on how they see and interact with the world. You are also able to help people on a deep level.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I spent many years in therapy and counseling. However, traditional ‘talk therapy ‘did not work for me. I struggled with a life threatening eating disorder. This impaired my everyday life and physical health. I also had battled suicidal thoughts and very deep depression and shame which impacted the way that I lived. I wanted to created a new way of connecting and assisting people with their emotional health that would give them lasting change.I now live a life that is meaningful and heart felt. I overcame my addiction through facing fears head on to build self trust. I created a personal value system that fills me with meaning and compassion for all life. I built a relationship with myself rather than viewing myself as a robot.

I find the core values or wants of deep seated emotions such as fear or shame.I take this information and offer a different path of achieving this need.I give tools to change the way the subconscious mind works. I struggle with vulnerability . But I find relatability is healing. People’s pain and wanting them to find renewal in their life is worth the vulnerability for me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg are really nice areas. There are many tourist attractions, shopping and distilleries. There is snow tubing in the summer and water sliding in the summer. That’s a lot of fun! You cannot forget about axe throwing! If you want a good laugh there are comedy shows with a variety of comedians. My favorite place that I recommend we visit is the Nature Center. They have a variety of fish and wildlife. It’s a nice little place if you would like to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife Keesha. She inspires me everyday to continue to pursue, grow and face your fears. She taught me to grab life and make it my own. She is a woman of many gifts.
