We had the good fortune of connecting with Sena Clark and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sena, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I would define success as self progression and feelings of accomplishment, while mastering skills of your craft. It’s not just about financial gain, but learning from the good and bad circumstances that will occur along your journey. Success is not stagnant, there’s no finishline. How I knew I was successful, I constantly was able to check off goals that I had set for myself. I saw growth within my business, but most importantly I saw growth within myself. With growth came new opportunities for my business which led me into success more & more. At that moment I knew then I was doing something right.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from others would be the luxury hair extensions. My extensions have longevity which allows you to utilize your hair as much as you like. I always cared more about the quality than the quantity. I would also say my excellent customer service. Being pleasant to every customer that walks in providing them with an experience every time. This is what makes me the number 1 virgin hair boutique in the Chicagoland area.

My proudest moment would be the finishing touch of my salon. It started as a vanilla box with nothing inside. Transforming it to a luxury boutique having stylish 3D wall paper, gold antique mirrors, making it a great place to come rather your being serviced or making a purchase.

I’m able to be successful & where I’m at today by utilizing my resources. I recommend to others to attend networking events, utilize social media and don’t be afraid to invest in yourself. “Your network determines your net worth. “

I want the world to know Hair By HONEYY is not just a brand it’s a lifestyle you should experience. If you haven’t already make Hair by HONEYY a priority for your hair care needs.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love a good Sunday Funday Brunch. I love to enjoy good food with great vibes. Places I recommend for a great brunch vibes are Fremont, Hubbard Inn, and Hampton Social. They never seem to let me down, from the food, to the music, to the cocktails.

I also love to support my own so rather I’m having date night or just dinner with the girls, I really enjoy Black Owned Restaurants. A few I recommend are Provaré, Kitchen & Kocktails, and Cleo’s on Cottage.

If your here visiting for the first time I recommend Navy Pier and The Grand Luxé Cafe. These are two of Chicago’s greatest landmarks that are family oriented & enjoyable.

Here are a few places & things I enjoy & I hope you would enjoy them too.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wouldn’t be where I’m at today without my Team. I have a group of dedicated, reliable, trustworthy women & together we get the job done. Building my team up and respecting one another allows me to maintain a successful business throughout the years. We take the time to value one another’s decisions and we all stand together on one accord.
