We had the good fortune of connecting with Stacey Uhrig and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stacey, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The decision to launch my own business as a Certified Coach and Trauma Specialist was driven by a combination of personal experiences and a deep-seated desire to assist others in recovering and thriving. Throughout my career, I have personally witnessed the transformative power of coaching and trauma-focused care in people’s lives. I noticed a growing need for tailored, empathetic, and successful coaching services that address not just the surface-level issues but also the underlying emotional, psychological, relational, and physical aspects of untreated emotional wounds and developmental trauma.

My journey led me to the realization that traditional approaches often fell short in addressing the nuanced challenges faced by individuals dealing with trauma. I saw an opportunity to leverage cutting-edge techniques such as Trauma Recovery Coaching, Parts Work, Polyvagal Theory, and Rapid Transformational Therapy to guide clients toward profound healing and self-discovery.

By establishing my own business, I could create a safe and supportive environment where clients could explore their inner worlds, rebuild their sense of self-worth, and reclaim their lives from the grips of trauma. This decision was fueled by a genuine commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of those struggling with emotional wounds, and it continues to be the driving force behind every aspect of my practice.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is centered around coaching and trauma recovery. I specialize in empowering individuals to navigate life’s challenges and heal from emotional wounds. What sets me apart is my unique blend of expertise in areas like Parts Work, Polyvagal Theory, and Rapid Transformational Therapy, all conducted through the lens and focus of Developmental Trauma Recovery.

I am most proud of creating a safe and supportive space where clients can embark on a transformative journey toward healing and self-discovery. What excites me the most is witnessing the profound shifts my clients experience as they break free from the grips of unhealed childhood wounds and step into their authentic power in adulthood.

Getting to where I am today in my business was not without its challenges. It required dedication, perseverance, and a willingness to learn and adapt. In addition, it required deep, heavy lifting in my own trauma healing. Overcoming these challenges involved seeking mentorship, continuously honing my skills, and embracing fear as an opportunity for growth.

The lessons I’ve learned along the way include the importance of resilience, empathy, and authenticity in building meaningful connections with clients. I’ve also learned that success is not just about achieving goals but about making a positive impact on the lives of others.

What I want the world to know about my brand and story is that I am deeply passionate about helping individuals reclaim their lives, find inner peace, and discover their true potential. My approach is rooted in compassion, empowerment, and a commitment to facilitating lasting transformation in the lives of those I serve.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to three remarkable sources of inspiration and wisdom that have profoundly influenced my journey as a Certified Coach and Trauma Specialist: Brene Brown, Don Miguel Ruiz, and Marisa Peer.

Firstly, Brene Brown’s work, especially her book “Daring Greatly,” has been a guiding light in my practice. Her insights into vulnerability, courage, and wholehearted living have profoundly shaped my approach to helping clients navigate their emotional landscapes and embrace their authentic selves.

Secondly, I owe a debt of gratitude to Don Miguel Ruiz and his profound teachings in “The Four Agreements.” These agreements provide a solid foundation for healing, self-discovery, and creating meaningful change in one’s life. The principles of impeccability with words, not taking things personally, not making assumptions, and always doing your best resonate deeply with the work I do with clients.

Lastly, I want to acknowledge Marisa Peer and her groundbreaking Rapid Transformational Therapy method. This innovative approach has been instrumental in my practice, allowing me to facilitate deep and lasting transformations in my clients. Marisa Peer’s techniques and insights have added a powerful dimension to my work, enabling individuals to break free from the grip of trauma and step into a life of empowerment, resilience, and fulfillment.

Each of these individuals has left an indelible mark on my journey, and I am immensely grateful for their contributions to my growth as a coach dedicated to empowering individuals on their path to healing and self-discovery.
