We had the good fortune of connecting with Tamara Zach and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tamara, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Working in a corporate setting seems like patient care was not being addressed correctly. I wanted to make my own decisions and have autonomy to provide the best patient care I can.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m opening up a private practice Pediatric Neurology office. My goal is to empower parents to make the best decisions for their children. I want to provide great patient care and help parents access healthcare in an easier and more approachable fashion. My future goal is to open up a Pavilion where we will have imaging, laboratory, Psychology, nutrition, and multi specialty practices. The most important thing about my brand is empowering parents and improving patient care.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
On our weeklong trip, I would make sure that we visit fountain Hills, the fountain, and eat at Cielo – it has a beautiful view of the valley. I will take my friend to the lake either at saguaro lake or lake pleasant take a boat ride and eat at the grill. Visiting Sedona and red rocks would be the next day. Eating at any of the resorts, with beautiful views of the mountains, and going on a hike at Devils Bridge. Next day would be a quiet dinner downtown at Olive and ivy. I very much enjoy visiting Ballet of Arizona and ASU Gammage for a Broadway show.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family has always been supportive of me starting my own practice. Compassionate patient care has always been of the utmost importance to me and having the autonomy to make the decisions to improve patient care has always been a passion. American Academy of neurology “Women Leaders in Neurology” program has been the most important educational program that I’ve done recently. Joanne Smikle has been an amazing teacher. I would not be here without her guidance.
