We had the good fortune of connecting with Tami Spence and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tami, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have a background in technology, but after my kids were born I became very interested in holistic wellness. I got my health coaching certification and wasn’t really sure what to do with it, but in the process I realized a lot of coaches were not as comfortable with technology as I was. I started offering technical business support solutions to coaches and it was a great fit! I love that I get to use my technical skills to support the transformational work my clients are doing!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I think one of the things that sets me apart from others is the expertise I have to share with coaches specifically. Coaches have some specific needs that I’m able to help them address and streamline so they have more time to spend with their clients. The biggest challenge for me in doing this work has been finding a great balance between doing all the work I want to do and still being able to be present with my family. I love the work I do, so it’s easy to let it spill over if I’m not careful. I’ve definitely learned to set healthier boundaries!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in San Diego, so we’d definitely go for a walk along the beach to soak up some sunshine. Hopefully we’d also head inland for some great hiking and then finish the day with street tacos!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family! It was a big transition for me to go out on my own and start my own business and they’ve been unwavering in their support!
