Meet Tatiana Albrecht | Founder of Albrecht Jewelry

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tatiana Albrecht and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tatiana, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Everyone has their own keys to success based on their personal experience and story. I would say loving heart, self-belief, persistence, ability of taking risks and be responsible, eternal desire to do something, continues learning led me down to where I’m.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My name is Tatiana Albrecht and I’m a founder of Albrecht Jewelry, gemologist, diamond expert and a passionate colored gemstones lover. I got my first degree in world arts and cultures and was working in this field for a while but always knew there was more out there for me. After moving to the United States I still wasn’t sure what my true passion was. After a while I started being acquainted with gemstones and jewelry world by observing lots of stuff and getting know specialties. The beauty of gems and their internal world absorbed all my attention, and one day I realized that I want to do it on a professional level. After graduation from Moscow State University as a gemologist, diamond expert and jewelry appraiser, I started my path, eagerly studying all the aspects and nuances, spending days and nights reading gemological books and magazines, taking private classes and extensively upgrading my knowledge. Then I had my first trip to Asia and couldn’t stop. I attended a lot of gem shows and exhibits, had tours to gemstone mines, factories, and made a great relationship with gemstones dealers.
I’ve never been a «diamond girl» even though most of people love them and they are «girl’s best friends». I admire and appreciate colored gems, as I think it is all about uniqueness and personality. This is how I decided to start my brand that specializes in non traditional/alternative engagement rings with colored gemstones. When we hear «engagement ring» a diamond ring is what comes to our imagination first but what if your «fiancé to be» is more passionate and glowing as a ruby or more delicate and sweet as a sky blue sapphire or creative and vibrant as a spessartine garnet. What if your fiancé wants one of a kind design or a fancy shape gemstone that represents her individuality and uniqueness. This is what my brand specializes in. Every couple has a story, every engagement has a story, every piece of jewelry has a story… When I create an engagement ring I always have a personal approach to each piece as it is a meaningful symbol of somebody’s love and it is a huge responsibility to be a part of people’s love story. My main goal is to make my customer happy with his or her choice as this is the ring they’ll wear every single day and I want them to love it, otherwise it doesn’t make any sence.
Uniqueness, artistry, high quality of craftsmanship, personalization, affordable elegance are the main descriptive expressions of my brand. I’m gifted by nature with color understanding and hue sense and pay the highest attention to the stones with the most stunning colors and details, which are sourced from across the globe – Madagascar, Sri Lanka, Australia, Tanzania, Mozambique, and other exotic locations. Sapphires from Montana have special love within my customers. A lot of people have their own stores, connected with Montana state and they want to have a piece of it with them forever. This is the stone we may say about «Made in the USA» They are prized for for their special attractive colors and hues, which you can’t mistake with others. All of gemstones I use for jewelry are ethically sourced, which means they are mined and traded responsible, with their environmental and social impact always top of mind.
I absolutely love what I do and the best part of my work is when I receive emails from my customers with happy photos of their special moments and words of thankfulness.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting me I would definitely organize some unique experience for her. As we both love art and culture, probably Heard museum that has one of the world’s extensive collection of Native American art; Musical Instrument Museum, which is the largest museum of musical instruments in the world; and Taliesin West, which is UNESCO World Heritage Site, would be the first spots. Then definitely Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon. Sedona for sure with its picturesque hiking trails. Speaking of dining options, I’d love to take her to LON’s restaurant at Hermosa inn to show its charming southwestern spirit or to enjoy beautiful live jazz music at Eddie V’s prime seafood restaurant.
