Hi Teniecka (TDrake), is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
For the ministry I do which is a different of business. I share inspiration and encouragement from the word. The social impact is helping to share about Domestic Violence. I will share a some statistics from the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. This includes a range of behaviors (e.g. slapping, shoving, pushing) and in some cases might not be considered “domestic violence.” 1 in 7 women and 1 in 25 men have been injured by an intimate partner.

I share my story and also educate others on my Podcast “God’s Gift Through His Word”.

Although many like myself share about Domestic Violence we still need many more voices with lived experiences to share. Domestic violence affects our entire society in all areas and some of the homeless population is directly attributed to Domestic violence. I can say that from being homeless due to Domestic violence.

Currently I participate in a Advocates Program from California created by Rainbow Services in San Pedro. This program helps us to share our story with others and connects us to other organizations. The goal for me is to be able to have those in the legislative branch of government change some laws that do not help victims and survivors ,but
harm them. This goal will help communities and hopefully end Domestic Violence globally around the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have been a podcaster for about four years now it will be five this coming January. There have been times when I did not think my content meant anything. There were times when I thought what am I doing this for? Nobody cares nobody is listening I am just a tiny podcaster with not this large listenership in the millions. I quickly found out I was very wrong. I have helped people when they were down. Encouraged those going through very rough times. Others have shared how I have helped them just by being me and sharing what the Lord has placed on my heart.
Trust me it has not been easy but, I am thankful that I do what I do. Podcasting for me is my love and I wanted to be a singer or on radio so badly. I found podcasting and the reach goes further and it will not disappear. I am leaving a legacy for my family and those who may follow in my footsteps.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a little hard since new to the area however, I know some places. We would definitely go to the Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale take in a movie at the very plush seated Harkins theater. Then we would go horseback riding. Go down to South Phoenix to check out the mystery castle. We would definitely go to Chars Live to take in some Jazz and R&B. If we had time left take in sites at the Grand Canyon. After all that the last day go the the Ceasar Chavez park to feed the birds. We have to make sure we have our loaves of bread. Those are things we would do.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have many who have encouraged me along my journey. Dr. James Sutton, II he is warmly known as “Pastor J” in the podcasting community. He has been an encouragement to me. My dear friend Dr. Katrina Cormier and has been in my corner since late 2017. Dr. JoWanda Rollins-Fells for giving me an opportunity to have my own 4 episode TV show on Spirit of Excellence TV. All 4 of my wonderful children. The podcasting community and some podcasters: Gloria Tp5,RedSable,J-Chavonne, Matty Mo’,Ant Cappone,D Wynn, Spidey Hec,Larry from 5 minute Inspirations. There are ton more but, we would be here forever. A huge thank to all those who believed in SoCal Podcast Explosion helped me to fund it and do it. For those wanting to help put on another podcasting event. A huge shout out to Anchor,Spotify, iHeart Radio and all the podcast platforms distributing my content.
