We had the good fortune of connecting with The Boyer Family and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi The Boyer Family, what do you attribute your success to?
Honestly, so many “factors” play into whom someone or something becomes. We could go on and on about some of the top factors in our minds, that have played a part in what The Boyer Bakery has become and is today…. like the incredible support from our community who has followed our journey, encouraged us on the hard days, and chooses to shop local and trust us for their pastry and dessert needs. We could describe in detail the countless long nights, early mornings, jam-packed days, and the blood, sweat and tears that coincide with behind-the-scenes tasks and responsibilities that are often unseen. We could illustrate the sheer hard work ethic of every member of our family bakery, who has selflessly made sacrifices, and works tirelessly to put forth such sweet comfort, in the form of classic family recipes that our community has come to know and love. But at the end of the day, when strength of ourselves fails us, when times of trials or new challenges are faced, our FAITH is the most important aspect we could have brought into our entrepreneurial endeavor! We turn our eyes upon Jesus, whose strength is made perfect in our weakness, whose faithfulness and mercies are new every morning and whose love for us is our example for serving others.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets our business apart as a bakery, and what we sincerely are proud of, is the fact that we truly do handcraft our goods from scratch, which is a rarity these days. We use tried and true recipes that are family-approved and we desire that the love and care that goes behind each and every pastry or sweet treat we confect is the first thing tasted within our goods.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ooooo, that’s so hard! We have such an incredible city filled with hidden gems across the valley. When we get the chance to have a “fieldtrip” to explore around town with the family or friends, we always like to support small “Mom and Pop Shops” as we know how much goes into running and keeping a business afloat these days. We know how crucial supporting our community is for a healthy local economy!
