We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiana Moneyy and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tiana, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk gives me all of my real world experience(s). Being in places where no one knows what to expect from you or committing to an objective/purpose outside of what’s familiar creates identity and character. Taking action brought me esteem, respect, happiness and separation. If I didn’t challenge myself I’d have to live up to other people’s expectations and projections.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is dedicated to innovataion and liberation. Being exactly who/what I want to be and then seeking out what is necessary for it to stick. Social media plays an enormous role in how we see ourselves, unfortunately. Having other peoples’ lives/art at our fingertips is conflicting and distressing. This is why I encourage people to seek out like minded people who make them feel safe and motivated.

Moreover, carrying the hardship of the past and present will surely weigh you down. Facing the harshness of our individual realities bring relief. And relief brings fulfilling experiences and positive results. Job titles/promotions, social media engagement, the individual perception of commitment keep us in a constant cycle of rejection as we fight for things we do not need.

I give the world tools of recovery through writing, intuition, and research. Not all of us are born wealthy, brave, or confident. However, all of these things can be built. With growth and change we’ll realize our immediate environment influences us a lot more than we admit. This exposes our limitations, which make us vulnerable, and reveal our needs.

Resentment only works against us. It’s up to us to forgive and then be who and what we are authentically. Waiting for a return on investment keeps us from recognizing when to move on. We honor Self and others when we acknowledge what we’ve done for one another.

Inner-wisdom, humanitarianism and non-conformity help through negative feelings. These attributes also call forth mediation and objectivity to further affirm Purpose.

And with this we’ll be able to pass judgement effectively.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d take them to a dispensery with me being new to Arizona. LOL. Being from Chicago that’s a new experience. Hopefully TME would be throwing a live music event. The event drinks are always so delicious and the talent is amazing. We’d definitely hit the botanical gardens and do some shopping in Tempe. We’d honestly explore together which makes it even more fun.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to God, the Ancestors and my family and friends in Chicago!

My long-term relationship with Marcus for showing me what I truly want out of life.

The Books As I am by Cicley Tyson and The Giver by Lois Lowry.

I’d also like to shoutout Imani Cohen (@thehoodhealer on Instagram) for cultivating a safe space online for Spiritual growth and development.
