Meet Tiffany Moore | Children’s Book Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Tiffany Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tiffany, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Life is too short not to take risks. It took me three years to get my first book published, and I definitely wanted to quit from time to time. But my persistent husband he wouldn’t let me. I’m so grateful for that because I know now that was one of the best things I’ve ever done. I’m just having a blast!! Putting smiles on people’s faces is such a wonderful feeling, and what better way to do it than through these two kittens.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My two books are based on true-life events. The first book, “Street Cat for a Day” is about these two pampered cats, Emmylou and Oliver, meeting Parker, the RV park cat that lives in a barn (which really did happen!). Parker would come up the RV stairs and meow at the cats, and then I caught him chasing Murray the mouse, which inspired the first story. The second book, “Beach Cat for a Day,” is about embracing your unique qualities. The characters in that book are people I’ve met on our RV travels who we have become life-long friends with. They both have wonderful messages, and what better to deliver messages to kids and adults than through cute animals.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The coast of Oregon is my favorite place to be. We would go explore the beaches, go to cute little shops, eat our weight in clam chowder, and take Emmylou and Oliver for stroller rides. There is something so comforting and therapeutic about sitting with someone you love and listening to the waves.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my Husband Bryan, who is always encouraging me, and my two kittens, Emmylou and Oliver, and all the people and animals I meet on our RV travels who inspire me with new book ideas.
