We had the good fortune of connecting with Toya Danielle Yarbrough and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Toya Danielle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was a decision that came from a deep desire for freedom and the opportunity to help people. I wanted to create something that would not only provide for me but also make a positive impact on others. It’s been an exciting journey so far, and I’m grateful for the chance to pursue my passions while making a difference in people’s lives.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
At Tricky Royalty Wellness, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on our community. We are a family-owned company that offers wellness, coaching, and alternative healing services to help you reach your highest potential.

We are passionate about diversity and inclusion and strive to create a safe and welcoming space for our clients. Visit us today and discover the Tricky Royalty Wellness difference.

We will continue to keep your health and our planet in mind with every product we deliver by focusing on organic, natural, recyclable packaging and ingredients whenever and however we can.

It was definitely not easy to get where we are today. Tricky Royalty is a completely self-funded company. Some of the challenges we face is finding new and creative ways to increase our reach on a limited advertising budget.

We have found social media as our most efficient way to promote products and events at little to no cost.

I would like the world to know that Tricky Royalty is committed to helping you heal, find joy and peace, as well as self-love.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would start by booking our facial at @kaylynnsbeautybar. I would then go shopping at Chava Rukas Bootique at Chandler Mall. We would then go to get our nails done with @Gloria Santiago in Mesa. Once we are all set next would be hair I would go to Ruff Tymes to get my locs retwisted and styled and my Friend would go to see Kisha at h2_hairstudio in Ahwatukee. Next make-up by Tiana at @Blush_tiana and now we are ready for a night on the town! We would head to Latha Restaurant Bar for some amazing African Inspired Dishes and shopping.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandpa taught me the value of hard work and entrepreneurship. I was able to see firsthand what it was like to have a passion for something beyond what an employer could offer. He inspired me to go to school and then pursue my dreams.

Another huge inspiration to my coaching journey came after I read Joel Osteen’s book, Every Day a Friday, which further motivated me to pursue my dreams and helped me find balance as well as practice thankfulness.
