Meet Veronica Ramirez | EMDR Trauma Therapist & EFT Couple Therapist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Ramirez and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Veronica, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I am an Arizona native. I grew up in South Phoenix and in high school, I lived in Tempe, AZ. My life and upbringing are what inspired me to become a mental health therapist. Life changed all around me due to the choices of others and the choices I’ve made for myself as well. I consider myself a hardworking, strong, intelligent person who is full of grit and resilience. I’ve been through a lot in life but, I never stopped moving forward.

What should our readers know about your business?
Soul Therapy Counseling Services was established in May 2022. It is a private practice I created after I transitioned out of doing Pastoral Counseling work for about two years. Soul Therapy offers therapy services to individuals who want to work on anxiety, depression, family issues, relationships, grief and loss, and other mental health concerns. Soul Therapy also works with couples who are struggling in their relationship and want to improve their communication, connection, intimacy, and understanding of their partners and/or themselves. What sets Soul Therapy apart from other private practices? That is a hard question because I know a lot of great and amazing therapists in the field and I try not to compare. What I do know is that ethics, integrity, culture, and passion are all foundational to Soul Therapy.
Starting Soul Therapy has not been easy! Like any practice, there’s a lot of challenges and obstacles to overcome. There are definitely seasons of growth, change, and learning while there are seasons when it seems a little more stable. Overcoming obstacles, for me, required a lot of learning on my part, while asking for help from my peers, supervisor, and mentor. The biggest lesson that I’ve learned is to not let fear hold you back because you’ll regret what you never tried.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I definitely the Old Town Scottsdale area because there are a lot of places for shopping, eating, and hanging out. I’d start with eating brunch, going shopping, and having dinner at Maple and Ash.
I love sharing new experiences with people so I try to keep up with the different events that are going on and the new places to eat.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to recognize my husband, my family, and my friends who have supported me and stuck by me the whole time throughout my journey.
