We had the good fortune of connecting with Victor Cepero and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Victor, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My wife and I wanted to work for ourselves. The conventional work week was wearing us down. We watched our co-workers work the same mundane jobs for years and their only goal seemed to be “waiting for retirement”. We decided there had to be a better way. We wanted control over our schedule and lives.
What should our readers know about your business?
We produce a unique brand of spicy BBQ sauce. We have always enjoyed cooking for family and friends. We began making our custom sauces as gifts for loved ones. While cooking and creating, we always had our “Old Blind Dog” Eddy (pictured on front) at our feet in the kitchen. While Eddy is no longer with us his memory lives on. As a Veteran owned company, we look forward to giving back and supporting veterans
Our goal is to create sauces that enhance great food without overpowering or masking its flavor. We also prefer a bit of heat.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would have fun exploring together as we are full time nomads! My wife and I travel the country in our class A RV. We sell at events and farmers markets along the way. We enjoy our time in Arizona as we have a lot of family and friends there. We frequent many markets in the winter.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
