We had the good fortune of connecting with Walt Brown jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Walt, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I truly wanted to build a lifestyle around a journey of my life, with all of the important things in life. Treating every day special with friends and family and have the ability to surround myself with amazing and inspiring people who constantly raise the bar. I felt i had the ability to know an individuals strengths and weaknesses, and felt i could build an amazing team of superstars. But always making sure the journey was enjoyable.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
When I found Diversified Partners, I knew I had direction, focus, and a very clear path to where I was going and what I wanted to do. Of course as you’re maneuvering your way through business, growth, family and all the other tools needed to be successful you always have to be grounded.. every day having discipline to make good choices, the drive to make sacrifices, and the strength to look back and make sure you are continually on the right track, and not making mistakes. Diversified Partners we have a very clear path of what we do, why we do it and how we benefit each and everyone around us. When you have a clear focus it’s really easy to be great at some thing. Making sure you have the tools, is everything, that includes people, good choices and happiness.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My happy place is Pebble beach, when you can combine great golf, an amazing race track, world class restaurants, fireplaces in a warm comfy couch. In the daytime you play golf get an hour and a half or two hour massage have an amazing dinner in a world class bottle of wine, it truly makes the journey enjoyable. I tend to be a creature of habit, always going to the great places I love, surrounded by people that are important to me which makes me feel very blessed.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I feel my family has led to my growth, success and happiness. It started with m Mother and Father. They pushed me to never compromise, never give it, always reach for a higher ground and always put integrity and your word first. Of course my brothers and sisters were all a part of my maturing, as while my parents were at work, my brothers and sisters all provided strength stability and love.
