Emily Diane Burg | Founder & CEO of Emme Diane Skincare & Esthetician

Instead of giving up, I get resourceful. When you are focused on your mission and purpose, you can always figure out a way to keep going…sometimes the “how” is unclear, but if your vision is, you will find a way. I’ve had too many obstacles, challenges, and mistakes in business to count. Still, even when it seems like I am stuck or insurmountable, I’ve found that as long as I stay focused on helping others, a new path, idea, or opportunity presents itself. Read more>>

Honestly, showing up. It’s as simple as that. You show up for something and that’s half the battle. Even when it’s hard or inconvenient, you show up and that is what makes the biggest difference. You can’t possibly succeed if you don’t try. Read more>>

I couldn’t disagree more. If you are under the impression that you can just start something and people will show up out of the blue, you will be sorely disappointed. It takes so much behind the scenes work, pavement-pounding, marketing, networking, social media, and community involvement to build something and get people to care about it, let alone show up and spend their hard-earned dollars on it. What is the end goal? I am not sure we all have an end goal. Have you ever accomplished something, and then celebrated and felt great with your accomplishments, and then maybe months or weeks or even days after, felt unfulfilled again? I think before we accomplish something, we need to have other goals in place to keep us hungry and striving to do more and help more people! There really is no end game. I do have some tangible goals to try to stay focused on leaving a legacy however. By the time I leave this earth, I will some how affect the health/mindset of 10 million people in some way or some form, directly and indirectly through many means. The current project is nutritional products. I source the best, safest, most effective nutritional therapies in the World to use for myself, my family and patients. Most people don’t understand the power that you can harness through nutritional formulas/supplements when you understand human physiology, and you realize 95% of what people are ingesting in this category are not effective or safe, and most are synthetic or unnatural, or simply don’t have any significant impact on our health or physiology. So with my goal of influencing 10 million lives positively with their health, I have recently partnered with a biotech company out of India to create the most powerful doctor formulated nutritional products the World has ever seen, with 206 patents, 34 human clinical studies, 92 peer reviewed publications, and 51 toxicological studies. So being the spokesperson for this new venture to get these life changing products to millions of people and doctors to use with their patients, this will be a major vehicle to get to this so called “end goal”. It won’t be easy, but it will be impactful! Read more>>

Savanna Hamilton | Tattoo Artist

Trying to be a good Mom to 3 kids and wife and trying to be a full time tattoo artist that is growing is difficult and sometimes feels like an impossible balancing act. The loudest thing tends to win out, haha. The demands of learning to tattoo better; being creative, making art, answering emails, scheduling, social media, maintaining good physical and mental health and learning new approaches while trying to be present for your family requires a lot of mental fortitude. Having an honest partner, real friends and family relationships help to keep me from veering too far one way or the other. It is important to set realistic and healthy boundaries and invite accountability. Read more>>
