We had the good fortune of connecting with Gracie Kruger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gracie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
We have always been lovers of the beauty industry. We are customers of the industry ourselves , and the day I ( Gracie ) got the courage to get my eyebrows tattooed . I was so excited I knew I had to convince my sister n law ( Shawna ) to get them done herself. We have collectively worked in the medical field for 14 years . We both started as respiratory therapists and then I went on to pursue cardiac sonography. So we went to work early and got home late. So as you see the low maintenance of just having your eyebrows done and not having to worry about looking decent was such a benefit for us. People under estimate the power of the brow , it literally frames your face. So then Covid Hit, Shawna decided to travel the US as a RRT to help hospitals in need of her skill and I stayed in Arizona to fight our local battle. By the end of it we just got burned out and we knew we needed a change of pace and a change atmosphere. We both know we love serving others , as it is shown in our first occupation of choice. So then we decided to go into the beauty industry. We moved from serving in the aid of others to the servicing and empowering women by making them feel beautiful.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Natural Essence Studio is a permanent makeup and fine line tattoo studio in Goodyear, Az. We believe that every woman is beautiful and unique no matter what season of life they are in. We help by enhancing those natural features to gain confidence , time, and have a more youthful look. Our goal is not to make you look different, it is to make you look and feel like the very best version of you. We have been able to get to where we are today because of the support of our community, family , and amazing entrepreneur community we have met along the way.

The life of an entrepreneur has not been an easy journey for us. We have had our ups and downs but at the end of the day what we have learned is , you will get out what you put into something. If you work hard and do things with good intentions and with the mentality of serving. Everything really does work out.
What we want the world to know about our brand is that we are not just another person tattooing eyebrows, we are a tribe of women who believe in the power of lifting each other up and building a community of confident women who embrace there natural essence.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I ( Gracie ) would love to recognize that my success has not come on my own, It has been encouraged and supported by my hero and mother Dalia. As an immigrant, single mom, and just such a survivor of a woman , she has always taught me to be strong, humble, and to go after anything I want with out fear. She always said if I live life with integrity, honestly and good intention , everything will always work out. My next supporter would have to be my husband and 2 children. They are the fuel to my fire and have always been my rocks and cheerleaders along the way.

I ( Shawna ) would have to owe my success to my husband Tyler , who has always supported me in every way possible. He is my rock and foundation through this journey.

Lastly , we give thanks for our beautiful west valley community who has shown so much love and support from the very beginning. We feel very blessed to have the opportunities that we have been given and we are beyond grateful to our gorgeous clients who gave us there ultimate trust . We do not take it lightly.
