Hi Jocelynn Poppy, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
My inspiration comes from everyone everywhere. People continuing to fight the good fight and achieving their goals, breaking barriers, and helping others along the way bring me joy. I celebrate others’ success because if they can reach for the stars and attain them, so can I. I strive to be the person that can encourage someone else to dream bigger and to work harder for their own goals and passions in life. I am a firm believer that success breeds success if you allow it. One person’s triumph might be the fuel that your fire needs. So read the memoir, watch the documentary, and learn from people’s successes, failures, and redirections in life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am real. I am authentically me at all times. When you work with me, purchase a product from me, or collaborate with my brands/platform, please know that you are working with a young woman who has put all her effort into being the best version of herself. My brand and projects are gifts from God that he has given me the ability to prepare here on Earth. Allowing God to move and work through me to help make the world a better place and inspire people on their journeys to do the same is one of my greatest life’s works! Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
An ideal fun-filled day would include a sunrise hot air balloon ride, with breakfast at Brunch N’ Sip afterward. Then throughout the day, we would visit the Phoenix Art Museum, Selfie World Scottsdale, and then walk around Old Town Scottsdale, stopping by America’s Taco Shop for a late lunch. After some downtime in the evening, relaxing by the pool, etc., we would finish the night at The Pemberton eating food truck foods, shopping local small businesses, and enjoying the outside air.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family. Who I am and the things I can do are because of having some amazing people in my corner. If I could shout anyone out, it would be them. I want to thank my mother for always being there, even when I knew she had to sacrifice many things to support me – I never questioned her support, love, or guidance. I want to thank my father for always telling me like it is. He was and will always be my biggest cheerleader, best financial advisor, and warmest shoulder to lean on. I want to thank my sisters for helping me stay on the right track. You both are the best aunties to my little boy, and I appreciate your advice, support, and love more than you will ever know. I want to thank my grandmother for paving the way for me to be all I am. Even when she doesn’t always understand my next moves, goals, or steps, she always has my back and doesn’t mind putting me in the local newspaper, either! There are so many more family members that I wish I could shout out, but truthfully you know who you are. I wouldn’t be me without you, and I thank you all so much for being with me on this journey through life. I love you all so much.
