Meet Lexi Pacheco | Pregnancy Coach and Doula

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lexi Pacheco and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lexi, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting my own business started when I learned about how absolutely amazing the birthing process is. How we, as women, we’re designed to birth. I became certified as a Doula and attended my first home birth shortly after that. The birth was incredible, she was in-tune with her own body, allowing the contractions to come and go, listening to her body and doing what needed to be done to get her baby out. It looked so effortless even though I know how much effort she put into it. She trusted her body, she trusted that she was designed to birth without intervention, without bright lights or laying on her back the way we’ve been told as women we have to birth, After the birth, I started to see that women not only needed support during the birthing process but during pregnancy to. There can be so many questions that come up about nutrition and physical fitness that I wanted to be able to fill that gap for women.
What should our readers know about your business?
Back in May of 2022 me and my husband found out we were expecting our first. After a rollercoaster of emotions and events right after finding out we were expecting, we found out we were expecting twin boys! Unfortunately it wasn’t the most celebratory surprise when our midwife told us we were having Mono/Di twins, aka high risk. As my belly grew and my two babies started to develop and grow, we unfortunately got the unexpected news at my 20 week appointment that twin A, Sonnie Adrian, had lost his heartbeat. After 10 hard weeks of trying to come to terms with the hard news, I stopped feeling twin B, Ezera William, move. One thing led to another and there I was with my husband staring at the hospital clock at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9th, being told they can get me in for an emergency cesarean at 5:00 p.m that night. Long story short, our sweet boy Ezera, was born into this world on November 9th at 5:10 p.m. along with his brother. As much as I selfishly would rather have both my boys with me right now, the hardship and trauma I’ve experienced through pregnancy, birth and postpartum (staying 4+months in the NICU) has blessed me with the unique ability to connect and bond with women, on a much deeper level. As I navigate postpartum and motherhood, my goal is to inspire women, encourage women and uplift women in ways they may not have or know they needed. I have a passion to educate women about how our bodies were designed beautifully and even through trial and hardship, we are still worthy, we haven’t let our baby(s) down, and we still were designed to birth and be mothers.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Prescott, we have 3 beautiful lakes here, Watson, Goldwater and Lynx. We would take a day throughout the week to hike and explore each lake. Then we have the famous Thumb Butte which we would have to hike for the beautiful view it provides over Prescott. For breakfast in the mornings, we have two amazing coffee shops that I love to go to, The Porch and Third Shot Coffee. The Porch Coffee Shop provides excellent breakfast food and coffee while ThirdShot brings the cherry to the cake with their Acai Bowls and delicious pastries. Not only do both these coffee shops have exceptional food and drink but both owners, Jesse with The Porch and Josiah with Third Shot have become dear friends of mine and they have the biggest hearts for what they do and the people they serve. For lunch, a go to spot for me is The Raven Cafe and for dinner you cannot go wrong with Lazy G’s just a few blocks from downtown. An enjoyable place to grab a couple drinks would be The Meadery downtown, they have great drinks and delicious food! Other then being outside hiking, there isn’t too much to do inside in Prescott so when the sun comes out and it starts to get warmer, any events they do downtown are worth checking out!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my husband, being together since 2015, there has not been one week that goes by where he isn’t encouraging me to pursue my dreams. He never fails to tell me how successful I can be, he never fails to be there for me, to listen to me and to help me. He’s been an absolute gift from God and I will cherish each day I get with him because I know just how lucky I am to have a man like him.
