Meet Megan Bernard | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Bernard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Megan, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want people to remember me for my entrepreneurial spirit and family first belief. From a young age, I began working to provide for myself and the people that I love. Becoming a Mother, I have founded Goodness Gracious LLC. My family’s recipes are the backbone and legacy that contribute to our success. I want to be a positive role model for my son and instill a solid work ethic from an early age. Through the success of Goodness Gracious, I want to provide generational wealth for my family for years to come.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Goodness Gracious LLC was a happy accident. My grandmother and I were in the kitchen putting together Christmas gifts for my son’s teacher. I posted a few pictures online, and from there, Goodness Gracious was born. Had it not been for the hard work I had put in years prior through modeling and promotional advertising, I would not have had the exposure for the business to gain such a following as early as it did, I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given throughout the years.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m a NOLA girl with a side country. For the first few days, I would take my friend to all my favorite places in the city. The must go to restaurants would be Maypop, Viet Orleans. Mr. Tequila, Restaurant August, and Domenica. For the night life, we’d go to Bourbon House and Barcadia. We’d take a day trip to Baton Rouge, and go to The Supper Club for an incredible experience. For the weekend, we’d head on out to visit my family on the Northshore and stop by Miller’s Mart Seafood and Deli for the hands down best crawfish and go to Usual Suspects to hang out and have a good time.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am fortunate to have such a supportive and strong support system. My mother and grandparents raised me to be independent and put me on a path to success at an early age. My large family, including my great grandmother, sibling, aunts, uncles, and cousins, have always supported me through the many endeavors that I have taken on. My many work colleagues, including Basjons Jordan, Karl Ault, Steve Simon, and Hooters, have encouraged me through the years. My army of close personal friends, as well as my amazing fan base, keep me encourage. My driving force is my son. My family is the sole reason that I continue aiming to be better and try new things.
