We had the good fortune of connecting with Tre’sa Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Tre’sa, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
I believe that a few habits have helped me on my journey to success. First, I always start my day with an attitude of gratitude. I remind myself of all the things I am thankful for in my life and it helps to reframe my day in a positive light.
Another habit that has served me well is making a to-do list and breaking down tasks into manageable chunks as I am a visual learner. This helps me to prioritize, stay organized, and stay on track with my goals.
I also make sure to take time for myself. Whether it’s going for a walk, reading a book, or catching up with friends, I prioritize activities that help me relax and recharge. due to my profession. This helps me to stay focused and productive during my work hours so that I can be fully present with my clients.
Finally, I strive to think long-term and stay focused on my overall goals. Even when I’m facing challenges, I’m constantly reminded of what I am working towards and this helps me stay motivated.
These habits have helped me to stay on track and keep moving towards success. I always keep God first and my husband who is my rock who is and has always there for me.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I believe that what sets me apart from others is my relentless drive and ambition. I am constantly pushing myself to achieve more and to be the best version of myself. I am most proud of my ability to stay motivated and to never give up, no matter the obstacles that come my way.
My journey to where I am today professionally has been a long one. I faced many challenges and obstacles along the way, but I never let them stop me. I used those moments as motivation to work harder and to never give up. I learned the importance of resilience and strength and how to use them to get where I wanted to be.
I want the world to know that I am an ambitious, passionate and driven individual who will never stop striving to reach my goals. I hope to make an impact in the world and to inspire others to never give up, to stay resilient and to always believe in themselves while putting a new perspective on their life.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am not a native of Arizona, but I have a few favorite places for good food, like Ruth Chris and Eddie V’s and LoLo’s Chicken and Waffles in Scottsdale. For entertainment, I would recommend the Westgate entertainment district for fun, food, and a outstanding shopping experience.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to:
To God, I give thanks first and foremost for all His work in my life and how I may continue to be a catalyst for positive change.
to my retired Navy husband Terrence, I owe an immense debt of gratitude. He has been my rock from the very beginning in my pursuit of higher education and the realization of my dreams. He has been a constant source of support, pushing me to take risks and encouraging me to become an entrepreneur. I am thankful for his unwavering belief in me and for always having my back.
To my mother Jeannette Walker, who is no longer in physical form, but she is with me! I appreciate the advice she has given me about the world, people, and life. Her wisdom lives on through me as I use it daily and intend to pass on to generations. To my nephew Derrick who is more like a little brother, whom I have watched become a successful young man against the odds through his military service that is admirable as he approached it with humility and determination. He has truly inspired me through times that were extremely difficult without judgment but with kindness and humor.
To my sister Karla, who had inspired me long ago as I watched her commitment and service to others and she taught me how to do my first resume, thank you! To my children and my grandson, my success is your success. Thank you, Pastor McCarter and Nidga, for being instrumental in my spiritual growth and the entire Victory church family in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. To countless others, thank you all for being a part of my journey.
