We had the good fortune of connecting with Frank Anthony and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Frank, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
I think giving up should never be an option. If you are really passionate about your craft then you should never give up! Having your own platform/business, there’s going to be a lot of times where you fail or don’t see success. The consistency is what builds the success so giving up in my opinion should never be a thought!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Music has been my number one passion since forever. I remember being 5 years old telling myself that I needed to be a singer, I want people to hear me sing just like how I heard artist of that time on the radio. Then as I got older, I learned the power of music. I learned how music impacts the heart, mind and soul. That is what drove me to create music because I wanted to create music that will touch my soul just like how others were touching mine. It wasn’t an easy process, working on my album, I think the most roadblocking thing was financials, but once I got past that part, it was more the dedication and being open and honest with yourself and the willingness to test your abilities. When putting out of piece of work, its an extension of you, so you want the best quality out there and that was a scare because I always thought “what if this is not the best quality of me?” But my hard work and dedication helped me put my album “QUESTIONS.” Together and this project took the world by storm! I’ve heard soo many stories about the impact it made and it touches my heart every time.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So my friends often come visit me from NY to LA so I give them this little itinerary. So as soon as they get off the plane, I take them to Roscoes Chicken and Waffles because I know we have nothing like that in NY. Then I take them to the tourist spots (ex. Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood Sign, Rodeo Drive) just to knock that out. Then after I get them settled and what not we have to explore the town, so I’ll take them to this little hole in the wall restaurant called “Secrets” where we can get some food and some Hookah (New Yorkers love hookah) and then after we would go to like an event in the nearby area! For the days after I always make sure I include a hike of some sort, for example Ill take my friends to Eaton Canyon to go hiking. The beach is also a must while people are visiting because you can’t come to California and not go to a beach!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my friends and family from Jamaica, Queens NY! They are the people that helped pushed and encouraged me all the way to where I am at in my career today! From merchandise sales to concerts, music streams, they always were/are my number one supporters!

I also want to give a big shoutout to my mother! She is the biggest example of perseverance and independence. She had guided me and shaped me into the person I am today and I will forever be thankful ! Love you!
