Meet Britt Hull | Permanent Makeup Artist | Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Britt Hull and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Britt, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business and career have taught me is to be patient. To be patient not only with myself, but with others as well. Patience is definitely something I struggle with because I’m such a go-getter, but learning to have grace with myself and allowing things to move in new directions in my business has been invaluable. Extending patience and grace onto timelines and tasks, as well as my relationships with my partner and my artists, my employees and my clients has taught me a lot about a healthy work / life balance that leads to happiness. It has trickled into my home life and my family life as well, and overall made me a better person.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Almost immediately in this industry I felt pulled to make my brow artistry look as natural as possible. A lot of artists in my industry have a specific style or flare, but I feel like MY artistic style varies per client. I absolutely love turning a clients dream look into a reality, so no two brows ever look the same! My connection with my client definitely sets me apart, and is also the thing that feeds my passion. I love people and I LOVE helping people look and feel their best, so taking time to establish this connection is what my brand is all about! Now, at my academy I have multiple artists who all operate in the same way. It has created a truly special environment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m born and raised here in Arizona but never took for granted the beautiful scenery all around us. One of my favorite places to go for happy hour is the Jade Bar at Sanctuary Resort. They have incredible drinks and appetizers but an even better view. The view over looks the “praying monk” rock formation on Camelback Mountain which is so unique and you won’t be able to see anywhere else. In Arizona you can do so much year round that it’s really hard to narrow down my favorite thing to do or favorite places to go because I’m always trying new things myself!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would not be where I am today without the love and support of my husband Nathan. He not only supported my dreams from a life partner perspective, but created a business that became a platform for mine to launch and grow. He helped me get clients through marketing and advertising, and even took it a step further, nurturing them through a CRM system he created on his own! He’s incredibly smart and I feel so lucky to have started a business alongside him. Our little Permanent Makeup family makes me so proud! Nathan may have launched my career in this industry but Amanda Lathem, my incredible and beautiful business partner, deserves a special shout-out. Amanda saw something in my small business, and in me, and partnered with me to create a truly unique and special training academy. Without Amanda’s continued support and hard work I would be lost. Her dedication to making our Academy perfect, and her strong and inspiring demeanor, have carried me to places I only thought of in my dreams. She is the smartest and strongest woman I know and since the day I met her, I’ve felt blessed to know her. She has been unwavering in her mission to help me turn my dreams into reality and has ultimately created a business with an incredibly strong foundation.
A special Thank You to both Nathan and Amanda. You have created this world with me, and for me, and I have immense gratitude for you both.
