Hi Taylor, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I contribute the success of my business and my brand to my ability to remain playful and connected. I view creativity as a relationship that needs to be nurtured. Like any relationship, creativity needs intentional time, presence, and care for there to be continual growth. I make it a point to engage with my personal relationship with creativity in fresh new ways on a regular basis. The easiest and quickest way to do this is through play. When I am in a state of play, it fuels my passion, drives innovation, and gets me tapped into the right side of the brain where creativity is accessed. It is through this light-hearted approach that I am able to sustain my creative spark.

Another crucial element in my success has been the genuine connections I have formed with those who experience my art. I believe that art is a medium through which we can touch the lives of others, tickle the subconscious mind, and foster a sense of connection and understanding. By infusing my work with a genuine sense of joy, wonder, play, and love, I have been able to forge meaningful relationships with clients, patrons, and fellow creatives. These connections not only bring me immense joy, but they also contribute to the growth and recognition of my brand, as word-of-mouth and positive experiences create a ripple effect that expands my reach and impact.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art is an extension of my soul— expressed with passion, and a deep desire to inspire and uplift others. What sets me apart from others is my unwavering commitment to infuse every piece I create with a genuine sense of joy, wonder, and authenticity. Each composition I bring to life, is infused with my unique perspective and a dedication to evoking positive emotions in those who experience my work.

What I am most proud of and excited about is the ability of my art to forge meaningful connections with people. Whether it’s through vibrant landscapes that transport viewers to distant realms or intimate portraits that capture the essence of the human spirit, I strive to touch the hearts and souls of those who encounter my creations. To me, the true measure of success lies in the ability to evoke emotions and spark a sense of wonder and introspection in others.

Getting to where I am today professionally has been a journey filled with both challenges and triumphs. It certainly hasn’t been easy, but it is through facing and overcoming these obstacles that I have grown both as an artist and as an individual. I’ve encountered moments of self-doubt and criticism, but I’ve learned to embrace these challenges as opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned along the way is the importance of perseverance and belief in oneself. In the face of setbacks, I’ve remained steadfast in my passion for art, continuously honing my skills, and exploring new techniques. Surrounding myself with a supportive network of fellow artists, mentors, and loved ones has also been instrumental in navigating the ups and downs of the creative path.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is that it is born from a genuine desire to spread positivity, ignite imagination, and make a lasting impact. Through my art, I aspire to create not just aesthetically pleasing pieces but transformative experiences that touch the core of our humanity. My art is a reflection of my belief in the power of creativity to inspire change, heal wounds, and foster connections.

Beyond the canvas, my brand is built on authenticity, empathy, and a deepening relationship to the world around me. I am driven by a desire to give back and use my art as a catalyst for social impact. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were visiting the area, I would curate a week-long itinerary filled with worthwhile experiences and eats. We would kick off our mornings with invigorating hikes, exploring the breathtaking trails that Phoenix has to offer. Then, we would pop on over to Luci’s at the Orchard to fuel our bodies with some of the best breakfast selections in town. After filling our bellies, we would embark on leisurely drives through my favorite historic neighborhoods, discovering hidden street art gems.

A day trip to Sedona for red rock scenery would most certainly make its way into the itinerary. I’d be sure to scoot back into town in time to indulge in authentic Thai cuisine for dinner at Glai Baan, known for its flavorful dishes and cozy ambiance. And should we have room for dessert, I would make sure to satisfy the bestie’s sweet tooth by stopping over at Nami, the most hip-hopin’ vegan ice cream joint in town.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When it comes to acknowledging those who have played a pivotal role in shaping my artistic journey, there is one person who stands above the rest: my incredible mother. Her unwavering support and encouragement have been the foundation upon which my creative spirit has thrived, and I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to her.

From the earliest days of my childhood, my mother recognized and nurtured my innate need to explore the realms of imagination and self-expression. Our house was a sanctuary of inspiration, with closets and drawers brimming with a treasure trove of craft supplies. From paints and brushes to fabrics and beads, there was no shortage of materials for me to experiment with. My mother’s foresight in ensuring these creative resources were readily available has been instrumental in my ability to explore, create, and truly immerse myself in various artistic practices.

But beyond the tangible resources, my mother’s belief in my potential was a beacon that guided me through the twists and turns of my artistic journey. She instilled in me a profound sense of self-belief and the courage to embrace my unique artistic voice. Her unwavering support gave me the confidence to take risks, to explore new techniques, and to push the boundaries of my creativity.

It is through my mother’s unwavering dedication that I have developed not just a relationship with creativity and art but a profound way of seeing the world. Her influence has shaped my perspective, allowing me to view the ordinary through an extraordinary lens. Her impact on my life is immeasurable, and I am forever grateful for the gift of growing up in a household that fostered and celebrated creativity.
