Meet Erika May | Luxury Swimwear Brand, Arid Aquatics, owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erika May and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Erika, what are you inspired by?
I am inspired by women owned businesses, girl bosses and female CEO’s. Nature, the sun and clear blue skies also lift my spirits and inspired me to create my swimwear brand.

What should our readers know about your business?
Our luxury swimwear brand is double lined and available in sizes XS – XXXL. We know not all bodies are the same shape and size and we accommodate that by selling separate tops and bottoms, as well as bikini sets.
We have an amazing animal print one piece and are also going to diversify offering skirts, coverups and accessories.
Our entire team consists of women, including our photographer, and we strive for excellence in customer service.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love Eden Rooftop in Downtown Phoenix for drinks, The Grand, and Los Favorito’s for breakfast. For shopping we like The Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale and for formal dress rental wear we go to Caring for the Earth Dresses. A perfect full week in Arizona for us would be a full week staying at L’Auberge in Sedona.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I can’t thank my models, friends and family, especially my super supportive husband, for everything on this incredible journey!
