We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Young and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsey, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
Yoga is so much more than a physical practice. We can take the lessons we learn on our yoga mat everywhere we go. Many people start their yoga journey looking to exercise, but it is a practice of the mind, body, and spirit.

Every single person is capable of healing and transformation. It all comes from within. I have had the opportunity to help many individuals begin their yoga journey, and it has been the greatest gift of my life to watch them heal and grow.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a 500 hr registered traveling yoga instructor, a sound healer, and a musician based out of Yucca, Arizona. In 2022 I let go of most of my material possessions and have been living off grid in my two Volkswagen campervans. I have made it my mission to share my passions for wellness with as many people as I can so that I may help others step into the best versions of themselves. I have used these tools in my own healing and I am grateful to provide space for my communities to connect to their own practices.

Through OM in the Hills I have had countless opportunities to share the light of yoga and sound healing with the world. OM in the Hills has hosted events, retreats, festivals, and has collaborated with many other individuals sharing their practices. I am a certified stand up paddleboard instructor and an accredited and experienced sound healer.

I take great pride in hosting events in unique places such as Himalayan Salt Caves, Natural Hot Spring & Spas, and a variety of outdoor venues. In sharing my practices at exciting and welcoming venues I aim to invite all in my communities to enjoy the healing practices of yoga and sound healing. I will continue to travel nationally and internationally to host retreats and experiences.

OM in the Hills is more than a community. We have partnered with Meinl to bring you the highest quality of sound healing instruments. If you visit our online store you will find instruments hand picked by myself from the collection available for purchase as well as merchandise and yoga attire. I am available for sound healing consultations to help you find the perfect sound healing instruments for your collection and to get you started as a sound healer.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Lake Havasu City is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and is a hands down must see! This desert city has character and class, and you are sure to feel like you are on vacation when you are here. I recommend visiting and paddleboarding the Bridgewater Channel. Don’t forget to check out the other desert communities and the Colorado River.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate a shoutout to my husband Jackson Young. Not only has he fully supported me on my yogic journey, but he is also an essential part of the OM in the Hills Team! If you have attended my events or retreats I’m sure you have noticed his contributions to keep us safe and grounded. I simply would not be where I am today without his support and encouragement.
