Meet Yolanda Lambretta | Artist & CEO

We had the good fortune of connecting with Yolanda Lambretta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Yolanda, why did you pursue a creative career?
Growing up my mother worked a food truck with a friend and I got to cashier at different fairs and events, and I absolutely loved it. I always loved seeing all the vendors and decided I wanted to be one of them, traveling place to place and enjoying my work.
I want to create a life that I enjoy. I have worked in the service industry my whole life and I see how much money I make for other people all the time, so why not put all that work and money towards myself?
I decided that if my feet are going to hurt, if my body is going to hurt from working so hard each night – it ought to be for my own company and contribute to my future.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am only one year in business, and the entire time I have been employed as a waitress/bartender full time. When I am not on the clock, I am at home working on my business. I do not get very many breaks.
I decided to become licensed and permitted because I wanted to get things rolling. I have done several events, markets, and shows in my free time, but it isn’t always easy balancing my time.
When I’m not scheduled for events, I am constantly working on new jewelry, managing my social media & marketing, and working on my branding. I am still new to the world of business, but I have learned so much in the short time I’ve had.
One valuable thing I have learned is that it doesn’t matter if your product/brand is unique – what matters is that you are consistent. Show up and do the work every single time, and you will reap the benefits.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a huge nature girl so we would have to go out to Sedona, the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, and everywhere in between!
Arizona is one of the best states to hunt for crystals so we would stop in Payson to look for quartz for sure.
I would take them on Route 66 and eat at a fabulous mom & pop diner, and blast our music on the highway.
We would have to do a lot of hiking and swimming!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to start with my mother for always inspiring me to work hard and do what makes me happy.
Secondly, I have an amazing community who supports me and encourages me to keep going. My first event would not have been possible without the help of these people. Specifically Aaron, Amanda, Anicia, Jazmyn, and Collin. You all made my business a reality and helped me grow as a business owner. THANK YOU!
Lastly, I want to thank everyone who has supported my business – even sharing a post, buying a $5 ring, or taking a look at my booth goes a long way. I appreciate every bit of it. This is all for you, and without you it is nothing. THANK YOU FOR TRUSTING US AND KEEPING US GOING!
