We had the good fortune of connecting with husband and wife team Ash & Chris Prolago and their business partner Stefan Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ash, Chris and Stefan, what do you attribute your success to?
It’s providing an affordable space that feels safe and welcoming to the public whether it’s with us or other aspiring creators. The ideas are infinite with the motivated artists who walk through our doors asking us to help bring their imagery to life.

Our success is built from the people who trust us and leave with a smile at the end of the day. There would truly be no other factor of success without them and their enthusiasm to create.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Stefan and Chris have been musicians since they were very young. They spend just as much time writing and creating music for the band they share together in the music production room at CproStudios as they do creating content for others in the studio area. Ash worked professionally in theatre for many years as well. We feel this helps incredibly with connecting with other musicians and artists whom are trying to bring their visions to life. We are most excited about being able to come together as a team and combine our knowledge of production, marketing, and stage engineering into one place as well as give others a place to do the same.

This all began for us one day on a video shoot without us even realizing it at the time. We had just spent 10 hours filming a music video together; tired, exhausted, and overjoyed. The accomplishment from that moment then ignited a spark and communal love for the art.

We wouldn’t really consider anything in life to be ‘easy.’’ We had to leave the fear of ‘What if?’ behind. We tend to live our lives cautiously. ‘What if this goes wrong? What if I can’t do this? What if I’m making a mistake?’ The list goes on and on.

It’s a difficult decision to break this type of thinking when you choose to step away from it. You’re leaving a sense of security and diving into the unknown but with that comes the mindset of “I can” and “I will”. It takes time and practice.

At the end of the day we just want to be happy and feel accomplished with our lives. Our legacy will live through the art we’ve created, the relationships we’ve made and all the moments we shared together to hopefully set the precedent of other imaginative minds to chase their dreams.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We are lucky enough to have our studio tucked away in a building in the heart of downtown Tucson and that is absolutely one of the first places we take visitors. The possibilities are truly endless down here and you can find something to do for anyone and everyone at anytime. Nightlife, museums, parks, cafes, art exhibits and studios, endless amounts of food/restaurants and of course the LIVE music!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The local music scene absolutely has our heart and was the reason that we all found each other and started to create together in the first place. We are very dedicated to supporting all types of local music, creatives and artists!

Other: Ash just recently created an online presence for the studio as it had been successfully running by word of mouth for quite sometime.
