We had the good fortune of connecting with Abby Lin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Abby, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I have always enjoy playing with makeup, and hair as kid. I went to EVIT Cosmetology program during high school and got certified to do lash extensions as. well. As a stylist, I choose an artistic career because it allows me to tap into my creativity and find fulfillment in my work. I love being able to experiment with textures, colors and styles. Offers me a creative outlet where I am able to transform hair and enhance someone’s appearance. Ultimately, the decision to pursue an artistic career is influenced by my passion for art, aesthetics and the desire to bring joy and self-expression to others through my work.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love what I do. I get the freedom to be my own boss and to be as creative as I want. I am an attention to detail stylist and the health of your hair and lashes is my top priority. I may spend hours with application to ensure you get the WOW factor results you a looking for. I have spent years assisting different hairstylist, taking different classes, certifications to make sure I’m confident and have enough skills to satisfy my clients and are happy and feel beautiful leaving my chair.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would first head to Sedona for a little day trip to hike and shop around for some food or crystals. Then we’ll head back down to Scottsdale because AZ88 has the best espresso martinis and has a beautiful, aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. If we have time we’ll either go to Museum of Illusions or the Van Gogh Exhibition. Plus I love looking at Christmas lights and doing Christmas activity so we’ll head to Enchant in Scottsdale once it gets dark and ice skate.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Sending a heartfelt gratitude to all my clients, friends, family and my mentors for being the driving force behind my journey as a hairstylist! I have gotten unwavering support, guidance, and motivation thst have been instrumental in shaping my career. I want to thank them for seeing my potential and encouraging me to explore my creative instincts.
