We had the good fortune of connecting with Tomas Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tomas, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I have a family now. Before it was studio multiple times a week, trying to finish up whatever project I could as fast as I could and move on to the next. I’m home now, I play with my kids, I’m enjoying life with my wife. Life’s too short to miss out on these kinds of things. I still attempt to do a couple hours of studio every 2 weeks or so but it’s completely different and I’m happy with how it is now. It’s nice.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
To be honest, I’m just having fun doing what I do and I love it. Me and my brother Killsolow have put the work in to start our own brand that we know is something new and dope. I’m proud of the connections I’ve made through this and to see just how far I’ve actually come.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
To be honest, we’d have to hit up The Vine Tavern and Eatery for some wings and drinks. Catch up. Maybe do something family friendly. I’m definitely an indoor kick it kinda person that just likes to vibe.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Killsolow, Mixlord, Delirious, the list goes on and on. I wouldn’t be where I am now without them. Mixlord saw something in me when I first started taking this thing a little seriously and decided to take a chance with me letting me join his music group Stackhouse next to ShotByDub and Flip The Great. Killsolow was with me before all of that and we continue to make great music together. Delirious, to this day sees more in me with this than I even see for myself at some points.
