Meet Hunter Runyon | Chief Executive Officer and Partner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hunter Runyon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hunter, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Initially at the beginning of the company, I was working in terms of hours quite a bit. With anything and what you would probably expect it took a lot of work to get things off the ground and running even though there were four of us. We all had our responsibility and started the company in my partners’ living room. Over time, we were blessed enough to bring in some experts in their fields and allow us to get more work done. Today, I don’t necessarily need to work the hours I did in the beginning, but since our company is growing at a solid pace there’s other complexities to tackle. Luckily, the team is supportive in helping and executing on the mission and I’ve been able to be with my family more since I’ve had a child recently. I enjoy the work and life circle as opposed to a “balance”.
What should our readers know about your business?
KeyGlee is instrumental to the community by helping owners find buyers for a property quickly in a situation that they may not be prepared to fully deal with at the moment in time. We also specialize in helping investors find properties to add to their portfolios, work their magic, and enhance the neighborhoods these homes are in.
I was initially running my business solely on a smaller scale at a young age. Then I met some individuals through networking that were in a similar space and through working together, found out that we were able to play off each other’s strengths. After about a year, we decided to all partner together and run a business which led to KeyGlee. We were able to scale the company and process more transactions this way.
In 7 short years, we were able to grow our corporate units and teams across the nation, help other entrepreneurs operate the same model through KeyGlee Franchising, and be able to give back through our foundations, The Good Works Project and Purpose Founder. A lot of people say our core values, culture and what we call the “foundation of love” make us unique to most companies and a huge part of our success. We trust our employees to take ownership in their roles and have created an environment where we promote everyone to succeed. In the same light, staying disciplined and listening to our clients have helped us succeed tremendously. We have been able to change an industry that was more cut throat in the past.
In these past years, I have learned that you can’t always control the outcome. You need to only have a goal in mind and do your best to achieve it. The rest is left to God.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My wife and I are homebodies so we don’t do any crazy level of exploring. With that said Agritopia and Gilbert is the place to be.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout has to be that of God and the Bible. Our company is founded on Christian values and is the foundation of the success and inspiration of myself and KeyGlee.
