We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Ford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaac, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
A commitment to my well-being and personal growth has been my best key to success. In this business, it’s easy to burn out doing as much music making as I do. Looking back a few years ago, I actually did undergo a burnout and it took quite a bit of work to get back into a healthy routine. What ultimately helped me out of the rut was finding positive mental health practices. This meant not pushing myself as much as I had been. I love making music and I find myself driven and motivated to practice without needing to make it some kind of hardcore training.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a bassist, vocalist and songwriter. I have found that individuality is not only my favorite aspect of music, but it also provides jobs security. Although many may not like my stylist choices, ultimately those who do find it difficult to replace me. I know very well that I’m not nearly the best but in a cheesy sense, I work to be the best at being me.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I actually really appreciate the Stripe Show golf course for their affordable rates and friendly atmosphere. When I have the time it’s a regular stop for me as a golfer and my golfer friends. After that I’d have to say a meal at Boca Taqueria because once again, not only do they have low prices but a friendly staff to compliment their great food. Lastly a drink at the Bone Haus brewing in Fountain Hills, for the unique brews and interesting decor.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My wife Zoe has supported me throughout all my journey and without her I safely say I would not be where I am today.
