We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindsey Krauss and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lindsey, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
We are finding that a lot of our Tucson community doesn’t know about float therapy at all or that it’s available it Tucson! We found float therapy in Portland and when we came home we found Levity. Floating has helped my husband and I through both mental and physical issues and it helps our customers with the same. Anxiety, chronic pain, PTSD, concussion and more. It’s truly a magical experience and we are so lucky to now be the owners of Levity Wellness and we are proud to be where we are today!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Levity Wellness is a charming local spa located near the U of A. We specialize in salt water float therapy. We also offer massage, we have an IR sauna, IV therapy and breathwork classes. Float therapy is very unique and we are the only commercial float center in Tucson. Talking to guests after their session is my favorite part of the job. Guests share some very private stories with us about why they want to try floating and often get emotional in a good way. We were customers at Levity before buying it in 2021. Was it easy? No. Worth it? Yes. We had to learn about float therapy on a whole new level as we were no longer customers, we were owners. It’s a lot of work to maintain and run a float center but we love it. As I said, hearing from our customers how grateful they are that were are here in Tucson is the best part.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Fun! We would definitely bring them into Levity for a float/massage combo….ultimate relaxation!! A show at the Fox Theater would be a must as well as the Gaslight theater. A U of A basketball or football game! Favorite food spots I would want to take them to: Locale, Seis Tacos, Agustin Kitchen, La Estrella Bakery and The Monica.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My husband and co-owner of Levity, Jason Krauss. We are both passionate about what we do but he takes it to a new level. Float therapy helped him through a very serious neck injury that led to pain killers. Seeing the passion in his eyes and hearing it in his voice when he talks about our business and how much it helps people makes me so happy. He talks to people about floating almost every day and our partnership has really created an awesome business.
