We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaclyn Siegel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaclyn, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
My ultimate goal for Jaclyn Kylie Skincare is to make it well-known and accessible to everyone. I envision opening a storefront that serves as the ultimate wellness center. I plan to hire employees soon and expand my clientele further. When I eventually step back from providing facials, I will focus on educating new aestheticians about skincare and business operations. Though I don’t see myself retiring anytime soon, I know that day will eventually come.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Jaclyn Kylie Skincare is my pride and joy! I built this business back in 2019 at the age of 20 and everything has just come so natural for me. I started in a small studio only one day a week in Scottsdale, AZ from a Lash Artist, while holding on to my other jobs to support myself. All the earnings from Jaclyn Kylie Skincare were saved and used solely for supplies and rent. When Covid-19 hit a few months after I opened, my business took a huge step back, but I was grateful to have other jobs to rely on.

By 2021, I had a little pep talk with myself about whether or not I am going to continue this business. It was either I go all in or not at all, so I went to look at different places where I could open full time. I found a place in Arcadia/Phoenix and opened up full time and never looked back! I am now going into my fifth year in business and I couldn’t be more proud. This moment marks a significant turning point in my career and really solidifies my business.

Reflecting on the past five years, operating my business was not all sunshine and rainbows. There were definitely some ups and downs. I have hit mental, emotional, and financial roadblocks but I overcame these moments by reminding myself that a business is not going to be smooth sailing, it’s going to have its ebbs and flows.

What lessons have I learned? Countless! The most valuable lessons have been customer-related. You have to know how to set boundaries with yourself and your clients and that is one of the hardest things to do in this industry.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take her all over starting in Downtown Phoenix! I love the energy and all the cool restaurants, coffee shops, and stores down there. Our first night would be spent bar hopping, starting at Palma or Sake Haus, moving on to The Quartz, and then From the Rooftop bar. Day two I would take her to Old Town Scottsdale. We would start at Schmooze for some coffee and breakfast and then make our way to the shops. We would stop at Truly Blessed Jewelry and then walk around. For lunch we would go Diego Pops for some pink nachos. Day three I would take her to Sedona for a night. I think Sedona is the perfect getaway and it’s just a nice time away from the city. We would do a small hike, maybe Devil’s Bridge and then find a creek and hang out there for a bit. We would of course do some shopping and grab a crystal or two and then stay in a cute hotel with a view of the red rocks. Day four and on I would take her to fun different restaurants and maybe do a pool day at a resort with Resort Pass and then send her on her way back home!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I want to thank my clients because without them, Jaclyn Kylie Skincare would not exist. Clients, if you are reading this, THANK YOU!

My Estie Besties (fellow Aesthetician friends) have been extremely supportive of me and they support me every single day. Whenever I have a question or need advice, there is no hesitation. Estie Bestie’s, THANK YOU!

Of course, I am so thankful for my family and close friends. They have cheered me on since the beginning of my career and I am so grateful for them. THANK YOU ALL!
