Meet Erin Dittmer | Mom | Educator | Digital Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Erin Dittmer and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Erin, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my business, All-Inspired Wellness, 7 years ago with a passion to help people improve their lives in a holistic, sustainable way. What started as one-on-one health coaching and workplace wellness services, expanded into recipe development and lifestyle inspiration for a community of over 300,000 individuals thanks to social media. Now, as a full-time digital creator, I love being able to share simple, delicious recipes as well as motherhood, family, and travel content to help my audience bring more joy into their lives.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
When I had my firstborn, I faced the difficult decision of whether to be a stay-at-home mom or continue pursuing my career. Luckily, owning my own business gave me the flexibility to adjust my schedule, allowing me to work from home, while raising my son without childcare. What I didn’t realize during that first week postpartum- when I had already returned to coaching clients during my son’s naps- was that working from home only gets harder as children grow older. A few months in, I found myself turning away more and more potential clients because I simply didn’t have enough hours in the day for coaching calls and I decided against putting him in daycare.
At that time, however, my social media platforms began to grow and paid opportunities started coming my way in the form of UGC and sponsored brand deals. I’ve always been the type to dive head first into each new chapter of life, and the timing of this shift was too perfect to pass up. As difficult as it was to step away from health coaching and teaching nutrition lessons, I knew it was something I could always return to in the future once my kids start school. Content creation not only requires significantly less time than one-on-one health coaching, but it has also proven to be incredibly lucrative in ways I couldn’t have dreamed of had I remained in the wellness industry in small-town Iowa.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I grew up visiting Rancho De Los Caballeros with my family, and it has been a cherished destination for as long as I can remember. Located about an hour northwest of Phoenix, it’s the perfect getaway when you’re looking for a blend of luxury relaxation, and adventure. The stunning grounds provide a beautiful backdrop for leisurely walks and exploration, but I also love hiking the nearby Vulture Peak for a more challenging hike and breathtaking views. On the property, the activity options are endless and include golf, tennis, swimming, archery, axe-throwing, spa services, and even kids’ programs and activities.
We most recently visited for our “babymoon” last February before my second son was born, and are looking forward to going back as a family of four.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
A few years into my health coaching career, I became increasingly interested in childhood nutrition when I realized that many of my adult clients’ struggles with food originated in their youth.
Through the SNAP-funded Pick a Better Snack program, I taught nutrition lessons in over 30 elementary school classrooms every month. This experience deepened my understanding of the critical importance of a child’s relationship with food and how early it develops. By learning various techniques to make healthy eating fun for kids and raising a healthy eater myself, I was inspired to share my knowledge with other parents and caregivers in the digital space.
I’m profoundly grateful for the Pick a Better Snack program, not only for my personal experience with it, but also for its contributions to the health and well-being of our nation’s youth. Not only does it promote healthy eating habits among children at a crucial developmental stage, but it also helps address food insecurity and nutritional education gaps, especially in underserved communities. Additionally, the program provides children and their families with the knowledge and skills to make healthier food choices, potentially reducing the risk of diet-related health issues in the future.
