Meet Aaron & Marisa Meyers | Videographers

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aaron & Marisa Meyers and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Aaron & Marisa, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always been a very creative person and video production was always a hobby for me but I wanted to do more with it. At the time I was working in the automotive industry and was presented with an opportunity to move into a video production role with the company I was with. I worked in that role for a couple years but unfortunately the position involved a lot of travel, so when the pandemic started and travel was restricted my position was dissolved and I found myself back to working on cars which I really did not want to do. My wife had already been involved with my video productions and was a huge help, so we decided to start our own video production company, Meyers Films.

What should our readers know about your business?
When we started Meyers Films we really didn’t know what we were doing or how to run our own business. This was a first for both of us. The one thing we always wanted to make sure was that we kept the business small so we could have complete control over our quality and customer service. This maybe isn’t the best move from a “growing a business” perspective, but it’s very important to us that we provide the best possible experience and value. We don’t have a ton of clients but we have several consistently reoccurring clients that are larger recognizable national brands which is fantastic for us. It gives us the ability to focus on those clients and really get to know them and anticipate their needs. For us that’s more important than constantly having new clients and tons of projects.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We are big coffee and tea nerds and fortunately have clients and friends that work in that industry. For us going to visit our friends at Mythical Coffee in Gilbert and Pair Cupworks in Mesa is a weekly occurrence that we look forward to. We always recommend them to friends and family. We also enjoy the outdoors and hiking, so visiting local parks like Cosmo Dog Park or the Riparian Preserve in Gilbert, or getting out of the valley and down to Tucson for hiking and to visit our friends at Presta Coffee, or up to northern Arizona to get out of the heat as often as we can is something we really enjoy.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
100% my wife Marisa! I wouldn’t be able to do what I get to do with our company without her. Not only has she always supported and encouraged my passion for filmmaking, she’s a huge part of our business. Anything from scheduling and planning to camera operation and being my right hand on set. She helps with every aspect of what we do.
